I think that every get store item should have a buy option in gems and a buy option in gold. The gold price could change with the market so you are still paying the same amount as before. This removes the need for gem conversion all together and I believe this would be the easiest system for new players. There is no need to convert gems if you are not using them so no one would lose out there. If anet truly wants the simplest system for new players I think this would be a better option.

i like it good idea but they are promoting gem sales more so i dont think it will be implemented but good idea

How do you value gold to gems though? That’s why it needs to be a conversion, right now there is an equation determining the values of demand for gems based on gold offers, and gold demand based on gem offers.

There are a lot of people who have been yelling about “if you don’t have any suggestions then don’t complain”. Those people are stupid.

I had problems with the gem system before, beause it didn’t have simple things like auto-buying the exact amount of gems you needed, or not being able to select how many gems you wanted to convert from gold. instead you just typed in an arbitrary number and did the math from there. NOT hard at all, just a QoL thing i would have changed, but by no means felt was necessary.

the new system is awful. My suggestion is as easy as it comes : go back to the old one. That was one of the few changes that DIDN’T need to be made and that NO ONE was complaining about.
