I have a proposal for your money making tactics.

For the next Gem store weapon set, instead of putting tickets behind the RNG box(commonly known as Black Lion Chest), put a direct purchase of a ticket specifically for those weapon set, then the player who bought those tickets can go to the Black Lion Vendor to pick it up. After a while, the store will no longer sell those ticket. However, players that couldn’t buy the weapons when it is out, can still get it from trading post.

Use this for your metrics. See how much players are willing to spend their money instead of farming keys.

Why?

• This is what I want instead of RNG boxes. I spend real money on armor that I have 100% chance of getting. I want to spend money on weapons that I have 100% chance of getting too.
• This still keeps exclusivity and rarity as time goes on.

Sorry, I know how much people hate RNG at times, but I don’t see this happening. BL key sales would drop and the only way Anet could compensate for that loss would be to make BL tickets ….costly.

You still do have a 100% chance of getting your weapon skin of choice, for the record, just don’t know how much money you’ll have to put in to get it.

Gambling is extremely profitable for the company that runs the casino. I don’t see Anet taking the slot machine out of their game all the while they are legally allowed to exploit people’s weaknesses.

you can always convert gem to cash and buy the skin of the trading post.

Gambling games shouldn’t be rated Teen. Particularly when the gambling is so explicit that the interface is that of a slot machine (black lion key).

Lol are you serious right now? “Gambling game?” This has to be a joke.

For the record everyone, this is not gambling… you can’t make money off of it…

The guaranteed way is to buy them from the trading post. I checked earlier, and it is about 68 gold to buy five keys, which may or may not produce a ticket, or even five scraps. When weapons cost one ticket, they are generally in the 70-90 gold range. Even if they were 100 gold, that’s still cheaper than what Anet charged for gem store weapons like Marjory’s daggers and Kasmeer’s staff.
