[Suggestion] Golemancer as new class
What role would they fill that engineers or rangers do not already?
What role would they fill that engineers or rangers do not already?
I don’t see how rangers fit in.
It’s more a combo of engineers and necromancers. Instead of summoning minions you summon hoards of golems.

or Necromancers

engineer doesn’t have golems.
That would a pretty neat class! However I kinda agree………we already have classes that could fill the role of golem companions. Do I still want this class to possibly be implemented? Heck yeah!

True but they do make automated mechanical constructs. If there is any profession fit for making robots, it would be the engineer.

We don’t need another pet class until they fix the pet AI.
Thief 80 | Elementalist 80 | Mesmer 80 | Necromancer 80 | Revenant TBA
All golemancers in the Guild Wars 2 universe are Asura. A class cannot be race-exclusive.
This is one of the reasons I would like Anet to give races some more racial skills and make them on par with other skills.
It could give each race another race specific build.
Asura have the option to make a golemancer build.
Humans could have a build that focuses on prayers, some defensive some offensive.
Charr could have a build that focuses on utilizing your warband.
Norn could have a build that focuses on calling spirits to their aid.
Sylvari have the option to make a.. plant thingy build whatever.
Will probably never happen, but hey one can dream.

You mean like summoning \ transforming into treehearts, pinesouls and other tree based creatures?

I’m highly against it.
You, roleplayers, can’t even imagine how it will hurt pvp or wvw if they can’t balance even current skills
Seafarer’s Rest (EU): Liicher (Engi), Lii Cher (Warrior), Swf (Elem),
Licharr (Guard), Lich Eir (Ranger), Alt Fh (Thief). Lii Cherr (Mesm), S Wf (Necr)
Just realize that golemancers are ASURAS, and btw no they dont summon a zerg of golems, it is like Taimi when you are driving ONE golem.
It would be neat. The golemancer would always have a golem by his side or be able to mount it. The Golemancer can also summon tiny golems for a short time that can do certain things.
Asuras already have 2 skills for summoning golems and 1 skill for summoning golem suit.
Period.

1) Perfect balance is unattainable unless you make everything the same.
2) Sometimes, the way to balance something is to introduce something that’s good at fighting it.
People don’t hate Scarlet like Game of Thrones fans hate Joffrey.
They hate her the way Star Wars fans hate Jar Jar Binks.
I’m highly against it.
Then you are fine because it will never happen anyway.
You, roleplayers,
I’m not a roleplayer. I simply want more available builds, and right now we have a whole series of useless skills that could be made viable.

Anet can make them PvE only. In GW1 pve and pvp skills were completely seperate, which is why the balance in GW1 was a lot better. Granted it was not perfect either, but still better.

i could see this being a subclass kind of thing:
Warrior: Get golem that can be used as a kit
Guardian: Golem minion that has a passive buff for allies
Necromancer: Summon golem minions
Ranger: Golem pet
Mesmer: extra clones in the form of golems that can explode upon death
Elementalist: Golem minion that does the following based on attunement (fire- damage, water- healing, air- speed boosts, earth- armor boost)
Engineer: cant think of anything
Thief: cant think of anything
Gates Of Madness
Jewelcrafting to 500!

No
I would fully support a profession like this, even if it was limited to a single race. I could see it being a lot of fun.
And to the idea of balance – things like trying to achieve perfect balance should never get in the way of putting something fun and engaging into the game. Otherwise, no game would ever add new content.

NO
I think it’s worth repeating.
Golemancers are exclusive to Asura. There exists no non-Asura golemancer. Golemancy is part of the Asuran culture.
You can summon golems and a pilotable power suit as an Asura character. If you would like to be a golemancer, create an Asura character.
