[Suggestion] Grey Market Trading
You do not have any right or permissions to sell items that are not available in game for sale through the TP/to merhchants, plain and simple either for gold or real money.
If you attempt it, and it goes kittens up, it’s all on you.
I’m pretty sure that’s only referring to real world currency. There’s nothing against the rules about trading stuff via mail, it’s just dumb, because the structure is not there to prevent scamming.
You can give it a shot with this trading guild thing, but I seriously doubt it will catch on.
They are unlikely to stop you. But if you get scammed, cheated, or screwed over, they will not replace your item, or help you in any way.
The paragraph in question is most likely referring to selling your account/items on your account for real-life money or (for example) currency in another game.
In-game player to player trades and sales are allowed, but you do it at your own risk; support can’t and won’t help you if something goes wrong.
Thanks everyone!

“A grey market is the trade of a commodity through distribution channels which, while legal, are unofficial, unauthorized, or unintended by the original manufacturer. "

“Grey market trading outside the TP is not supported by us.”
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
In general, Grey Market Trading is referred to when using unintended ways of trading, basically any trade that doesnt go through the Trading Post.
While grey market trading for in game currency or in exchange for other items isnt illegal in game, it also isnt supported, so for any complaints you file for a trade gone wrong, dont expect to get reimbursed of any kind.
What is illegal is using any of the official GW2 channels (forums, public chat, twitter, facebook lfg tool etc.) to advertise your grey market trading.
