Would it be possible to make these merchable? since there are so many of them available on the market/in-game, Only thing people can do with them is basically destroy them or wait months to sell them at minimum price.

You might have noticed that foods never have a vendor value. They used to, until people found a way of exploiting certain recipes, so ANet decided to make them all worth 0. As a result, developers since then have safely assumed that foods have no value, and programmed other things with that in mind. Which means: changing some foods to have a value would end up being more work than it appears. So it’s probably a situation in which the benefits aren’t worth the cost.

That said, I think all foods should have a vendor value of 1c, to make them easier to dispose of.
