I think that it would be much better if the healing was a percentage instead of numbers.
Why are we punished if we increase our vitality ? 400 heal is great for low-health classes/gear while it’s garbage when our health is 17+ k . The larger our health pool is , the lower healing we will get.
Changing the healing intro a percentage will satisfy everyone so 400 heal could be 2%.

What do you think ?

Er, since no attacks are -based, 400 health is 400 health no matter who you are. You get the exact same benefit regardless of your total pool. The only thing affected differently are traits that say things like X happens when you are at 90 or higher health.

Well but I understand his point. Having high health helps you sustain the 1st blow, but then if you don’t heal more, this does not help you at all for a longer fight.

Personal opinion: high health shouldn’t be what you rely on for sustained fights.

if you want you heals to matter more, use toughness then, to reduce the amount of dmg you take, rather than vit that just give a bigger health pool (or increase your healing power :P)

If the healing numbers changed to a percentage, it won’t hurt anyone. Classes/gears with large health-pools are the main benefiters of this change. I have a necro with Soldier gear ( PVT ), I’m experiencing a low healing even with vampiric build.

depending on what % it could hurt the low health characters yes, and it most certainly would affect (and potentially (and in fact quite likely for a while untill they get the numbers tweaked) hurt) balance.

Too much of a change imo for far too little gain for the amount of work it would take for ANet

Just boost your healing power. That IS a gear stat, just one that nobody uses because they can’t be bothered to give up their own damage.

Life doesn’t give me lemons anymore, not after what happened last time.

I use it… I heal peoples

No but Seriously, I play a Water Elementalist and my Armor set is Heal Main, Toughness Power. I do so enjoy playing support, but I still have enough power to aid in combat too.

If you want to heal yourself more effectively, invest in toughness.

If you want to heal allies more effectively, invest in healing power.

If you want to survive burst damage more effectively, invest in vitality.
