Suggestion: Hide Achievement
I don’t know if they fixed crabtoss or not, but I’ve been stuck with that one in my display for ages. And in WvW, where you have to do some things thousands of times, you can be at 90% + for months and months.
Actually, what they really need is a way to see all of the in-progress achievements above some selected level. A new interface, that is. Go into the interface, select a percentage, and everything above that pops up.
Which achievement is it? They have removed any achievements you can no longer get in game, so (Crab toss excluded, it’s not removed, the event is bugged) you shouldn’t see it unless it’s still available.

This. Just having the almost-complete in-progess ones on top and the completed ones drop to the bottom would be good.

The one that has showed up on this alt account the other day is the one of same ones the OP mentioned. It’s where you get achievement points for getting influence for your guild.
ANet may give it to you.

Nothing against the OP’s suggestion — which is a fine one — but for those looking to display all the cheeves over a certain percentage or whatnot I think the ability to sort by total and tier completion already satisfies that need pretty well. It’s true you can only sort within categories and not overall, but that isn’t terribly limiting . . .
And in other news: They did finally fix Crab Toss (Yay . . ) I too had a Crab Toss cheeve in my top three for the whole time it was out of rotation, and I finally got to clear it a couple of days ago . . .

The worst part with the current system is that it’s not even the top scorers. It’s the top of their current tier, so some of them I have no interest in at all, but there they are.
My nearly completed achievements have read as follows for the last several months with the occasional change when an achievement briefly surpasses them in terms of percentage.
Crabgrabber 23/25 (In the past it has been bugged where it is impossible (not just difficult but flat out impossible) to advance any further in this achievement. I frozena t 23/25 until the bug is fixed.
Some Say It’s Your Specialty 1944/2100. I’ve been slowly, every so slowly getting this towards 2100. This is for killing champs in Edge of the Mist.
It’s Quite Roomy In Here 1809/2000. This is for taking towers. I’ve been on maps with commanders who refuse to take towers. It’s not their style. Three hours of play and zero towers to show for it. Again, I’ve been slowly advancing on this one.
Assuming I make one of these fall of the list, I’m pretty sure that one of the following two will take its place:
All We See We Own 883/1000 (Taking keeps).
Blades in the Midst 809/1000 (Killing aetherblade in the center of EotM.
What generally happens in EotM when we approach Aetherblade? We veer to one side, or as we pass through commander says, “Don’t attack.”
Totally agree. I have a pvp achievement stuck in my summary and I have no interest in it. If only there were more options like being able to view achievements by game mode or being able to view more than three achievements.
I think we can all agree that there are far too many achievements and collections for the current UI. Here are some ideas that people have suggested in various related threads:
- Toggle to hide all completed achievements.
- Toggle to hide the completed parts of active achievements (e.g. don’t show me the stuff I’ve already collected for Treasure Hunter; just the stuff I have yet to find). If few enough, allow us to display it as a text list that doesn’t require mouse-over to see details.
- Toggle to hide all “can’t be completed” chieves (i.e. the suggestion in this thread).
- Personal achievements: allow us to track things that aren’t achievements, such as unlocking the antique skin sets (e.g all citrine) or finding all pets or all dyes. (No extra AP, just a way to track it).
- Mid- and Long-term goals: give us a way to track several things that can’t be completed ‘today’ or even ‘this week’ — the ‘watchlist’ is suitable for dailies and the occasional one-off; it’s not helpful for working on a legendary.

Agree on all of those, and love the personal achievements idea especially.
I don’t know if this is the place to add this suggestion, which has also been mentioned in places: Allow more achievements to be displayed in that right-hand panel on the screen. I personally wouldn’t mind seeing two dozen achievements listed there that I’m interested in.
