[Suggestion] Implement "use all" for boxes

Especially during the past Wintersday I do not want to think about how many times I have gotten tired of spending five minutes just opening boxes. And bags. I fear the same will come with the Lunar New Year’s envelopes (although those seem a little less plentiful).
I still have… maybe 90-something Wintersday Gifts waiting to be opened just because I got so tired of all the clicking required to open them.

This would be a small quality-of-life change that I think many would appreciate. The same could apply to things like skill point scrolls, or tomes of knowledge, or stacks of anything usable without a cooldown time or un-stackable effect (unlike certain consumables like Ash Legion Spy Kit or items that give you a rock, plank, etc.).
Would be much appreciated, especially with what seems to be a recent proclivity to give us consumables like boxes and XP scrolls and “bottles of PvP reward”…

Although not really allowed to use, because it’s a third party program, you could use a program that clicks for you.
Keep a key pressed and the clicks come. Just move your cursor over the item. (;

Mouse (button) life span decreases with each click, so those massive amounts of containers (Wintersday, Luck, …) really kill your hardware ;D If they would implement an option to “open All” or “use All” I’d be glad.

I think in this forum there already are some topics about this problem.

Despite this not being the first thread about this, I cant support this enough since I have already got an injury that took me ONE YEAR to heal due to the massive klicking in GW2….

An “open/consume/use” all function would be more then welcome. Saves people from RSI and destroying their mouse. I just dont understand why a game of this size and popularity doesnt have this kind of things implemented.

Don’t argue with idiots, they pull you down their level and own you with experience.

Agree with the other posters. This really needs to happen — hopefully we’ll see something like this when HoT comes out.

In the meantime, there is a great work around that does not violate the “one mouse/keyboard event per action” rule. Use some program (I use this one) to remap either mouse wheel up or down to left click (or double click if you’re a risk taker!) and scroll away!

Do this. Seriously. I always kind of shrugged that suggestion off and was like “it can’t really help that much” but it does. It makes a huge difference. I don’t even bother combining stacks of luck using Artificer any more, because I can scroll click through a stack faster than I can craft them together.

Better yet, don’t map EITHER up or down to it. Map both up and down to left click, and then just rock the mouse wheel back and forth.

Hehe, I never tried that, but I use a logitech G700, which has a toggleable “free spin” mode for the mouse wheel — fling it up or down and it spins for a good 6-8 seconds, usually enough to go through most of a stack in a single throw

Love that mouse. Worth every penny
