I know ANet mentioned something about nerfing the Celestial Amulet for PVP. However, now that it appears both boon and condition duration are going away as trait stats, I would like to suggest ANet add boon and condition duration boosts to the Celestial gear. Give a flat 2% boost to all pieces except chest, make that +3% and the total for going full Celestial would be +25% duration total (6 armor +13% + 6 trinkets etc. +12%). Might bring back Celestial as a more viable option for some builds and actually makes some sense in that Celestial gear would boost all primary AND secondary attributes (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Attribute). Cap the boon and boost durations at +100%.

Nerf Shadow Arts condition cleanse. Gut the
Acrobatics trait line. Then sell it back

If you mean the boons and conditions are being given greater durations as baseline then I would say only in certain cases (at least at the moment).

Nah, celestial already has more stats than other gear.

Every time they changed stats on gear Celestial lost more than other gear.
Magic find was simply removed without getting something else, we lost the
higher crit-damge when crit-damage was changed to ferocity.

I don’t really expect that to be different this time, especially since they now
already said they will nerf it for Pvp.

EVERY MMO is awesome until it is released then its unfinished. A month after release it just sucks.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

I am getting conflicting rumours (here on the forums, in games & from social media ( YT sites) about the nerf to celestial gear (coming up, perhaps with the trait re-vamp) and perhaps this a spot to ask for clarification:

1. Are the devs talking about a PvP nerf only, or will it affect PvE/WvW gear too?
2. Is the nerf really the “10%” I hear lots of people talk about?
3. Where is the source (“dev quote”) that started all that rumbling about Celestial gear?
