Just thought i sneak this topic in here.

From the Features that Anet planned to release until the end of 2013, Jeweler and cooking 500, pre cursor scavenger hunt and new legendary weapons didnt make it into the game until now.

Anet already confirmed that the Scavenger Hunt wil definately not be in the feature patch and is delayed until further notice.
As this topic is not about new legendaries (feel free to create a seperate topic for it), I would like to ask, if there are any news on Jeweler and Cooking 500?

The remaining blogpost topics about the feature patch dont really suggest that we will see those implemented on April 15th.

Granted, those 2 professions are the hardest to implement as cooking mostly makes consumables and ascended trinkets are mostly already attainable by other means.

But with the upcoming dye changes and crafted dyes playing a bigger role in the supply chain, once the majority of unidentified dyes from the refund on April are used up, i think it opens up cooking to overhaul the crafting process of dyes entirely.

If Anet plans on focussing Cooking 400-500 on dyes, i guess it would make sense to wait with it until the feature-patch-dye-extra-bonanza settled down a bit and Anet is able to collect some more accurate data of that market.

This isn’t a “Feedback/Questions” it is kinda like a suggestion/demand topic.

Anyway … cooking 400~500 with some exclusive dyes would be a great idea.

Yeah these were supposed to be implemented in 2013, and that was over 3 months ago. We are 25% done with 2014 and we still haven’t heard anything about the features that were supposed to be implemented last year.

An update on all of those features would be nice.

There were some datamined cooking things that showed 500 cooking was at least a possiblity. I don’t know if it’s developed any further since then.

Jeweler 500 simply needs to be done, and surely will be done, because there are still some T7 Materials, that are of no usage and not gainable get.
These to be precise:

http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Xunlai_Electrum_Ingot
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Crystalline_Ore
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Crystalline_Ingot

And I think at least the Crystalline Ore/Ingots will have something to do with Jeweler 500 later. From the Description of the Xunlai Electrum, it sounds more like something Smiths would craft by putting together Silver, Gold, Platin and Mithrillium..

but I think the ganme could need some new Materials there also, as theres also stuff missing that we had in GW1:

Diamonds for example could make up as new Jeweler specific T7 Material.
But also other gems are missing, whats with:

Aquamarines
Tourmalines
Sugilite
Jasper
Turquoise
Hematite

So basically, there are more than enough gemstones that could be used as highend T7 mats for Jeweler 500

However i’d replace all of those with Ruby, Emerald, Sapphire, Amethyst, Onyx.. the most valuable and well known gemstones should be naturally at the highest tier.

I still hope, that we will see with the introduction of Jeweler 500 a way to upgrade through jeweler 500 superior Rune and Sigils to Ascended Runes and Sigils and that we will see for Accessoires also Ascended Upgrades to make that progression stuff complete.

In regard of cooking is there also toons of possible fruits, vegetables ect. pp that could be added new for completely new recipes.

GW2 needs finally Fishing and Digging as new gathering jobs, that would allows us to get some complete new materials for Cooking, like various fishs and crustaceans, like crabs or lobsters ect. and so on.
New buff food with completely new buff effects. Rare/Exotic/Ascended food, with much longer durations than 1h.

Such kind of food should have durations of 6h (rare) , 12h (exotic) , 24h (ascended)
The durations of the weaker thigns should get increased also.
Masterwork to 3h
Fine to 1,5 hours

Personally I like the idea behind sub classes ~ quoted from Chris Whiteside
