So I know I am not alone when I say that a good few people in this game enjoy jumping puzzles. They are fun and require skill and patience. However, the rewards from them are mediocre for the time you put in.

My suggestion is to add Jumping puzzle bags. The names of the bags would be named after the puzzle, (eg. Obsidium Sanctum Bag) and the reward would essentially be the same as a champ bag. ( T5/T6 mats, blues, greens, yellows and a rare chance for an exo.)

The amount of bags would depend on the size of the chest ( three for a big chest , two for a medium chest and one for a small chest.)

Maybe we could even get some unique jp weapon skins??

Thank you for reading.

For WvW jumping puzzles sure, as you can’t just park an alt and claim the chest every day.

Other jumping puzzles could of course be modified to require a key/buff you claim midway the puzzle.

I hadn’t actually thought of this…

I guess you could get ported back to the start once you open the chest? Kind of ruins the suggestion haha.

I like your idea, however we’d need a mechanic similar to the milestones in the SW-jumpingpuzzle to prevent parking or porting characters.

Yeah even Drydock JP is not rewarding to a significant degree compared to the time it takes. JPs are fun, but I do not do them often anymore. Especially now that the monthly is gone.

The milestone mechanic could indeed work. Let’s hope they will consider this for the JPs they introduce in HoT. I know a lot people will be angry because they cannot port/be ported to finish the JP, but I don’t know why that would be allowed in the first place. JPs are meant to be a challenge and they are completely optional.

I also think JP should be better rewarded. They are harder than just running and pressing 1 mindlessly. I know there are some people that don’t like them. Well, dont do them. But for the people that invest time and skill to get to the end, there should be a stronger reward.

Keep the final chest accesible via portals, but add a bonus chest for those who complete the JP the proper way. Milestone mechanic should work.

They could trigger the new reward on the same requirement used for the old Daily JP (you actually had to start and end the puzzle to get the reward). I certainly see no current reason to do JPs ever again (unless something comes along to use up my stock of Emperial Stars and fragments….). I’m not against this idea.
