The new effects and visual updates for Kudzu are absolutely stunning but I find one thing about this legendary to remain lack luster and its the bowstring.

Kudzu overall is a beautiful bow and even has received two updates since the legendary weapons release over 2 years ago. One of the fixes included was the bowstring originally just floating in between the two ends of the bow to being elongated to meet both ends of the bow. Still, this makes the bow look sort of weird since the bow strings don’t seamlessly mesh into the bow itself.

My three suggestions:

1. Make the bowstring look like its made of vines/flowers that connect seamlessly into each end of the bow that way it gives the bow a more unique look and fits its flowery nature theme.

2. Make the bowstring look as if its the same color/effect as the gold arrow on the bow itself. Seamlessly mesh it into each end of the bow with some sort of orb, or flower.

3. Similar to suggestion one, but with a small twist where the bowstring is sort of vine like but has the gold glow that you see flow through the bow as if the bow is breathing like its alive.

I’ve suggested this multiple times since I first crafted Kudzu over 2 years ago. I’m still waiting for anet to do something.

I hope that they will change it one day. It looks sort of weird to just have a plain and simple bowstring on a bow that is made of vines, flowers and nature itself.

I agree.. If it’s supposed to look all plant-like then so should the bowstring. It doesn’t really look right with the simple one it has currently.

Hopefully they’ll consider updating The Dreamer’s bowstring as well to maybe even being pink or something.

I always thought it was bugged/glitched.

Remove it completely, or just make it a non-solid (like transparent particle string) maybe? I mean if they moved it closer to the bow shaft I’d look more like extended shortbow than a longbow.

A gold sparkling light bowstring that appears when shooting?

+1 to these suggestions.

We can all dream… I just hope they end up tuning all of the high-ends skins.

Hopefully ArenaNet will continue to update Kudzu and other Legendaries accordingly. They are legendary for a reason, they deserve to look epic. I hope they’ll stay up to par with their visual effects as the new legendaries ArenaNet is releasing.

I hope the Dev’s will consider upgrading the bowstring in the near future as well as adding some form of animation to the ranger barrage 5 skill.

I don’t have it but that bowstring looks disgusting so +1 from me.

My suggestion is that the bow “string” only appears as you draw to shoot. They can also make it that it glows like the colour of the arrow and flashes away as the arrow is released (so it’s kinda like a mystical force more than a physical string). It can also be faded towards the ends of the string where it meets the bow, so it gives the impression that it’s invisible, but gives a faint glow along the area where it is touched.

This would save them from having to reconstruct the bow to incorporate a string seamlessly while also keeping in theme with the legendary’s aesthetics.

TBH that legendary it’s the worst design imo.

-Bow doesn’t have a string and it looks more like a staff than a bow

-The flower “limbs” of the bow are not consistent, they are just simply floating there…c’mon put a vine or something to make it look it has Limbs. (the worst).

- That floating arrow, whats up with it? it looks so unnatural, nothing it`s holding it just a single arrow, just gfet rid of it.

The idea of the “nature flower” bow it’s cool, but problem it’s the desing itself doesn’t look like a bow, but a floating bush.

I was initially put off by this, but I’ve grown to like it.

It’s not a floating arrow. It’s a spear held by the figure carved into the grip of the bow.

^ THIS. I genuinely hope they consider giving this legendary some more love aswell as the other old legendaries some love in the near future.

My main issue with Kudzu is that the gold parts aren’t actually a true, metallic gold, but just a vivid (and slightly unpleasant, IMO) yellow.

Reminds me of Black Adder, when Lord Percy makes “Green”, rather than gold, when he tries alchemy.
