I would like to filter what loot ends up to my inventory. Inventory should have a checkbox pop-up dialog for easy use; some kind of indicator that the filter is in use would help too.

(1) No minor sigils and runes.
(2) No white, blue, and green armor pieces or weapons; except when skin is locked.
(3) No trophys.

(That would keep all minis; blue and greens too.)

I find it very annoying that dungeon runs involves so much inventory cleaning. I were going to suggest to remove looting in dungeons – all given as over-the-map-chests and in the end chest – so that we could fully enjoy the dungeons.

So much junk comes from PvE, WvW, and EotM as well. Opening EotM loot bags in inventory gives much blues and greens.

Blues and greens are good for luck when salvaging, but I have no need to collect them at every turn.

Buy a salvage-o-matic and get used to salvaging.
I would really like to filter out junk items though. I seriously don’t care for 6c of an inventory slot and I’d rather not have junk appear in my inventory at all because I just wind up destroying it anyway.(unless it’s unidentified object which is actually worth something)

Would love a game without junk but have never seen a mmorpg without it.
Take salvage kits.
Don’t open bags.

The problem is not in salvaging. I do salvage! Don’t make stupid guesses how I play; don’t be rude.

Before posting I opened 300 bags from EotM; salvaged 300 greens (or blues). Got materials, many rares (sold them), and some exos. I also got too many minor sigils and runes; deleted them.

Filter would be purely optional; keep the junk if you wish

I guess this would be an okay QoL update for some people, but personally I’d like to see developers’ time and resources go into other issues.

Don’t use autoloot on dungeons, so you take as much time as you want picking only the stuff you want?

And why the heck would you delete things if they are worht at least a few copper?

I would like the ability to flag certain types of loot as Junk so they will sell when I hit up a vendor. Minor sigil of 2 silver? Junk flag. Seige Commander’s Spoon? Junk flag. Leather coats? Junk flag.

Just use Crude or Basic salvage kits, then you won’t get so many Minor Runes & Sigils but still get the materials.

I use mystic salvage kit (250) for convenience…. but i try lower quality kits just to see if they give the same amount of quality materials.

I buy more bank space so that I may empty the inventory before the runs.

I agree, adding an item filter for rarity and type would be easy to implement.

I’m sick of constant masterwork, basic, junk and trophy loot. Salvaging inst a solution since your spammed with upgrades (sigil’s) and neither is a lower tier salvage kit since they only stack as 15-25. Even with 20 slot bags i fill these completely in a short amount of time which while farming craft able materials for a legendary becomes ridiculous.

Untoggle Auto Loot. Then you will get a pop up when you loot something and you can pick and choose what you want to take.

I’d like auto-aoe-loot to prioritize items by rarity, much like targeting prioritizes foes’ ranks.

This is why the Mystic Forge Conduit should be reinstated.

I’ve been using the MFC for over a year. It basically takes 4 of your green runes/sigils and reduces them down to 1 with a chance of elevating to rare. Then 4 rares down to 1 with a chance of elevating to exotic.

I’ve gotten my fair share of Scholar’s/Bloodlusts and other upgrades worth over 5g.

If I don’t get anything, so what? I cleared tons of inv space at the expense of only a few copper.
