Personally i believe arenanet will do as they wish, not caring what pvers or pvpers want.

it was in the pvp locker and we asked for it back then from what I recall. I may even have images I made of it back then on my HD somewhere. Outfit is worn by Alastia Crow in the personal story for one of the 3 orders i think.

If it had been available from karma vendors, I and others would have bought it in beta. I don’t recall anyone posting anything about it being on karma vendors in beta at all.
It was available for 20 months – by playing pvp. It was not available in pve, similar to how the pve counterpart sets were unavailable in pvp.
I can’t recall it being available for karma either.

Its one of the few rewards left for people who played in the old pvp system.

Anet has not responded to a single thread regarding this issue with the exception of an extremely vague post on Reddit saying that missing armors may be brought back through reward tracks.

Assuming there is a mountain to begin with.
They removed the system used to attain it, and just bringing it back would probably cause contention among the pvp group.
Pretty sure placing that set is like playing operation. Even tracks are too easy to use as reward vehicles for it.

It was in the game for about a year and a half, you needed Wolf rank in PvP to get it. I got it back then and made a number of posts encouraging others to get it before it was removed since they did give us plenty of notice.
It was removed when they took out the PvP Mystic Forge earlier this year. Grouch said then on a Ready Up livestream that it would possibly come back as a Reward Track reward, I’m thinking we haven’t gone far enough into the Maguuma Jungle to see it. Maybe watch the livestream tomorrow to see if he discusses it again?

My biggest problem with it having been available in SPvP was that it was mislabeled as Masquerade armor. I would have grinded through SPvP had I not been skeptical of it carrying over through the wardrobe system. For all we knew, they could have changed the armor to visually match the Masquerade set, since it was labeled as such.
Btw, there is another PvP only set out right now – the Glorious armor set. You can preview it in your wardrobe and you get one piece for every Glorious Reward Track you complete.
I vote yes largely because its probably easier for PvP players to get the PvE armor they want then PvE players to get the PvP armor they want.

On the same note, the rest of the Stalwart and Apostle sets. I got most of them from achievement skin chests, but I’m still missing the apostle legs and stalwart shoulders.
It was obtainable through PvP for those who were good enough to get the materials & make it (was rank wolf) but now ranks are super easy to get & don’t take much effort or skill- But once the wardrobe update took effect there was a bug that removed it- I hope they re-add it to PvP for players willing to earn it.
I just don’t get the point of removing content that players clearly want and have been asking for. The armor already exists, surely re-adding it to the game cannot be that hard.
I think the most frustrating part in all this is that I’ve seen lots of threads created about this topic over the past few months and yet, the devs continue to remain silent on the matter. I mean, really? Is it that hard to just give some indication as to whether the armor would be re-added some time soon? Hell, even just a “no, we’re not re-adding it” would be fine, if it means players at least get some closure on the matter.
+1 for support.
Still waiting to see if this armor set (as well as all the other PvP armors) shows up again, be it reward track, karma, gem store or whatever. My elementalist needs that tribal armor very much!
Hopefully it’s a matter of “when” and not “if.”

I’d really like to see this set available again.
I got to rank 30, which took me quite a while, and I obtained a piece of it; but alas, I was not aware that the set would become unavailable eventually – even though there was fair warning – and now I cry every night seeing this incomplete set in my wardrobe…

That’s not something you’d expect from a profit driven organisation. Rather they’ll do what they think is best, not caring what pvers and pvpers say is best. Which speak neither volumes towards what Anet thinks or players say.

you think its fair that pve’ers get given the only past pvp reward but pvp’ers dont get wings of sunless, air filtration device, mad king backpacks etc…

yes and i’ve said repeatedly that as a pvper i’d feel cheated if they re-added our only unique past reward but pve-ers dont get their (far more than pvp) exclusive past rewards readded.
it’d be better if they added more sets rather than bringing past content back.

All of which were known as ‘limited time only’ items from their introduction. Everyone knew they were going to stop being obtainable after those Living Story chapters finished.

Cheated? Let’s be melodramatic about it, shall we? Nevermind that the tribal set is something many players were working towards when it was just arbitrarily made unobtainable.
On topic, this is an armor skin that is clearly desired by many players, myself included. Most requests don’t really seem to even care how we unlock it. I’m also in the same boat. Pvp reward track, karma vendor, gem store, new dungeon skin (two birds, one stone), crafting, etc. I don’t care. Just let us earn it.

Pve’ers had notification that an item wouldn’t last long. Trib armor had ZERO. Just poof and gone.
I would be fine with it if it came back as a PvP only armor, and others are OK with that too. I’m OK with some armors only available PvP only.
If I had at least known it was going to disappear, I would’ve grinded it out sooner rather than thinking ‘men, I got time’ because I was getting bored with the same matches over and over.
To put it bluntly, I’ll step more into PvP for sPvP exclusive gear, but then spvpers have to step more into pve for pve gear.

Unless you happen to be the PvP players that got the armor set before the patch, I wouldn’t be happy if they simply made it available to PvE players considering he fact he PvE players get pretty much everything else like legendaries in PvP when it was originally promised to have PvP legendaries.

You do realize that PvE players ask for past PvE rewards to come back as well right? Even if they just add Tribal Armor to a PvP reward track, that will be fine, that way we still have to play PvP to get it but at least it will be available.
Timed content is always an issue for all players, PvE or PvP because players might not have had the game or might not have been able to play it during the time those rewards were available. If I missed the first Halloween event, for example, because I was on holiday or was sick, etc, then I lose out on timed content. That’s why so many people ask for the flaming book to come back as well, among other things. It’s not like people are only asking for Tribal Armor.

I don’t have it, and I played some PvP. I think it’s a good thing to keep it pvp exclusive. A good way of reintroducing it would be a tribal reward track with an armor piece at the end of the track and tribal weapons as the weaponskins.
Currently playing Heart of Thorns.
PvP exclusive or not, I would like to see it (and all the non-continued skins) put back in game. My thief has the uncompleted versions of the marauder and stalwart sets. Luckily they mix and match very well.
I was really bummed out when the Shield of the Moon was added to PvE, and no longer exclusively PvP. Understand, it’s nice to have a prized skin as a testament to being a veteran player. But I’d be willing to give up the exclusivity of what I got left, if it meant bettering the experience of PvP in general.
