I would like to see a slight modification to the censor. Nothing big, just certain words get changed to fluffy bunnies.
Word list:
Casual
Elite (in all its forms)
Veteran
Toxic
Hardcore (how did I forget this one?)
A possibility is to use it when people actually type in kitten.
Etc
Personally I am tired of reading about casual players being treated horribly by elitist.
But reading about fluffy bunnies being treated horribly by fluffy bunnies would be a breath of fresh air.

That’s the point of the censor you kitten! <3

Never enough kittens….or fluffy bunnies.

Asura characters: Zerina | Myndee | Rissa | Jaxxi | Feyyt | Bekka | Sixx | Akee | Tylee | Nuumy
| Claara
Your skin will wrinkle and your youth will fade, but your soul is endless.

I don’t think they can, or it’s difficult for ArenaNet, since from what I know the firm who crated the forums for ArenaNet went bust or something. Correct me if I’m wrong, but that’s what I thought anyway.

Edit:

Personally I am tired of reading about casual players being treated horribly by elitist.

On this, there’s a cure for that. Don’t use the forums! People of all different gaming ‘backgrounds’ are going to voice their opinions here, so you’ll just have to either put up with it, or stop forum-ing. Some people might get fed up of elitists voicing their opinions about casual players too.

To be honest, there’s no need for players to be split into sects like this – we’re all Guild Wars 2 players here, we shouldn’t be against each other so much. But meh – this is an internet forum. There’s no stopping it I suppose. It’s just a shame some Guild Wars 2 players hold other Guild Wars 2 players with such low regard.

I think the forum filter gets boring if its always the same word. What they could do is take the list but exchange the words on the list randomly as well as throwing in the word kitten.

So ‘casuals being treated horribly by elites’ could become ‘elites being treated horribly by casuals’ or it becomes ‘toxics being treated horribly by kittens’.

While this may make some posts impossible to understand, at least everyone will be too confused about what is being said to be offended.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

But how will we ever know what a player means when he saw something amazing while fighting against two “fluffy bunny” krait nimross while out of nowhere he was attacked by a “fluffy bunny” krait nimross while he was farming for pristine “fluffy bunny” spore samples?

(“fluffy bunny” converstions: 1=veteran 2=elite 3=toxic)

Changing these words could possibly lead to more confusion than it is worth.

Well a fluffy bunny krait is fairly easy to figure out. They need to contact IBM Watson or the new Google AI team to get contextual parsing of sentences.
