Suggestion: Movement Speed
Doesn’t bother me except in Jumping Puzzles. When I’m about to do a jump and then an enemy spawns putting me in combat and throwing me to my death is really frustrating, but I don’t think there is a need for this change
We probably won’t see this for multiple reasons.
- The zones are small enough as it is. They’ll feel that much smaller if we’re moving around them even faster.
- Waypoint gold sink wouldn’t be as effective if people are just running.
A change like this wouldn’t increase travel speed by much, considering most people avoid getting hit anyway when they’re running through.
I don’t see this happening. Combat is designed under the assumption that we move at a set speed. It determines enemy NPC movement speeds, size of AoE damage circles, the time before AoE attacks impact the circle, speed of projectiles and moving objects, size of dungeon environments and PvP arenas, size of gaps to jump over, etc. You can’t just change combat movement speed on a whim, without affecting everything else.
It’s just annoying. People run through the enemies anyway, if they want and won’t fight them. Just turn that crap off.
