Suggestion: New Proffessions!(with Details)
I would love this but they already said that they aren’t doing anything that will change races
Nope to all of them – I think they will add a face and not another profession.
For Humans, we bring back the:
PARAGON
Spear Throwing Leaders!
Bring back Spear Skills, Chants and Echos
Add Spear Weapons Unique to Paragons
Uses Heavy Armor
Forgive me if I’m mistaken, but didn’t the Paragon rely on the gods for their power in GW1?
If so, the current lore would prevent them from existing – the gods aren’t hanging around any more.
No to race-only professions.

Let’s not bother with such “minor” things. If Anet wants something, they’ll bend the lore however they want.
No to race-only professions.

On the other hand, such lore conveniently gives them something to point to and say “Nope, not happening because of this.”
No to race-only professions.

Minor…..
With how Anet handles retcons and “nope, what you heard wasn’t true. It was said by someone who didn’t know everything”, they can pass everything they want as “minor”.

With what happened to GW1, you are a tad too positive. It wouldn’t surprise me if after LS season 2 we hear great announcements, then silence, followed by “well…we want to do a lot of stuff but can’t with the current GW2 engine. So we’re working on GW3 which we’ll have everything you love from GW2 !”
With a little luck, maybe GW3 will feel like it’s actually connected to GW1…

ikr, truth do hurts
I would love this but they already said that they aren’t doing anything that will change races
it won’t exactly ‘change’ races in the traditional sense.
As true as Odin’s spear flies,
There is nowhere to hide.

Someone dosent Know their Lore very well. In Guild Wars 1 the Gods werent around either, but they still channeled the power of the gods as did the Dervish. which they would have an even greater point being the Diciples of Kormir, who gave her life to become the Goddess of Truth.

I rely on a friend for lore to be honest, he played GW1 for years and was really deeply into it. I pretty much just played for the Hall of Monuments, and he carried me for that.
However, after a quick check on the GW1 wiki, i find this:
The presence of the True Gods can be felt in the present day when the world has earned the Favor of the Gods.
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Gods
This would suggest that they were active during the time of GW1. While the corresponding page on the GW2 wiki doesn’t state they aren’t active any more, it’s fair to say that sites associated with them – the Promenade of the Gods and the Temple of Ages – are no more, and there is little in-game to point to their presence.

They gave us their favor, they let us enter their realms and give us their blessings before fighting Abbaddon. They also play a role in Wintersday and their avatars give us quests.
They are around, but aren’t intervening a lot.
In GW2, it’s complete and utter silence (might be a bit of an exaggeration).

If so, the current lore would prevent them from existing - the gods aren’t hanging around any more.

You do Realise Orr sank(1071 AE) just 1 year after the Searing in Ascalon(1070 AE) and 1 year before the main part of Prochecies(1072 AE), the first part of Guild Wars? By the time Guild Wars 1 ends, it is 9 years after(1080 AE) and the gods left during the Exodus of the Gods further back in 0 AE, which marked the start of the new time keeping. The gods may not Interact with us, nor show as much favor as they once did, however they are nevertheless listening and their power does flow (Considering the Human skill for each God)
per race? a little ambitios, il just take my dervish and paragon plz. with throwable spears , scyths (no other class but the dervish should b able to wield the scyth) and HYBRID ARMOR , i want the dervish and paragon to use a combination of heavy medium and light, like heavy chest on paragon but light head and medium gloves/ boots and light legs, that would create some interesting looks

While that is true to the lore, it’s unmistakable that in GW1 the Gods offered their blessings to the world and interacted with humans – granting passage to the Underworld, Fissure of Woe, offering their blessings during the fight against Abaddon…
In GW2, it is complete silence. Faith seems to be the only pushing matter since there doesn’t seem to be any remnants of their interaction.
Just because the Gods left Tyria doesn’t mean they stopped communicating with Tyria or didn’t have any channels of communication – unless we’re suggesting that every hero of GW1 was completely wasted and delusional for 9 years.
Also, if we’re using lore to justify stuff – magic itself is part of the lore. Bloodstones and the war that sparked the Exodus, etc. To me, there seems to be a clear distinction between magic that can be credited to the Bloodstones and the interaction of the Gods’ themselves, since the Gods don’t need to give magic to anyone directly.
On topic, I don’t think any of these are good ideas. We don’t really need more professions – they can easily accomplish some of this stuff by just designing more skills to currently existing professions and expanding the weapon selection. The 8 professions they give us are rather nice and universal, they can easily accommodate other ideas by just expanding their skill selection.

I doubt anyone cars if they have to be a specific race to be a certain class.
Are you kidding me? There is nothing more annoying than having to pick a race you don’t want to be class you want;
Are you kidding? Your suggestion is for us to go back to something bad?
