Let’s be honest, is anyone looking forward to the AP Achievement Chests if they’re not the 5k ones with Gems or the ones with armor skins? The current loot is the following: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Achievement_Chest With bigger ones having more of the same crap. Apart from the Forge stones, there’s nothing really in those chests that makes me goes “wow”. Karma? Badges? Oh, wow, totally not swimming in that. 2-3 WvW consumables? What, did I just play an hour of WvW?

Even the Zenith Skins get dull after the first 5-6 you like/want, and the accountwide bonusses are weird, you get +1 of xp/gold/karma/MF, yet you get +2% gold every month for doing nothing but logging in.

Back when the PvP Wardrobe was added along with the Achievement chests, you got some skins from the chests, which either unlocked skins for PvP/Wardrobe or you could salvage and gamble for more skins. When the Wardrobe was reworked, this feature was removed, sadly.

The proposal is quite simple. Retroactively add Wardrobe Unlock tokens as a reward for the Achievement chests you get every 500 AP instead of the boosters/Gem Store Items. It’ll give players something to look forward to and reward longtime players with some nice skins.

Taking for example 1 for 500, 2 for 1000, 3 for 2500 and 5 from the 5k chests. That’d give you 20 unlocks per 5k points, or 120 unlocks for reaching 30k AP retroactively.

I really really like this suggestion. Though I’d prefer them to have some way to check and only back-reward those chests the account received after the PvP skins stopped dropping in the chests. I say this as someone who got a good number of PvP skins via AP chests before the change, I don’t think I should get to double dip.

Even so this would be a superb way to jazz up the AP chests to make them really fun once more. Kudos for the idea!

With 120 unlocks for 30k I would have everything the chests currently has left to offer me. But I guess for the effort you need to get 30k AP it would be a fair reward.

It was a sad day when they removed random skins from Achievement chest. It was pretty much my favorite thing about them. I’d love it if they gave us the new wardrobe unlocks, especially when they’ll owe me many of them then :>

Anything that makes the AP chests more desirable would be welcomed.

I can support this, even if it is only for the achievement chests every 1,000 AP instead of every 500.

If this is implemented, it would also be cool for the 5,000 AP chests to instead give a special account unlock that unlocks a unique exotic skin. Nobody would get more than 6 unique exotic skins out of this, and it would also act as a safeguard against opening a 5,000 AP chest and getting a skin that is easy to obtain otherwise.

I actually really love the idea of bringing back random skins to the achievement boxes. I don’t necessarily need a ton of them, but even just 1 for every achievement box would be awesome!

Yeah, the skin unlocks were the best part of achievement chests, adding this new equivalent to them would be a great idea.

I would love them to add these to achievement chests. The chests as they are now aren’t that exciting to get. Maybe some gold. Maybe a weapon or armor piece. Some odds and ends and a account buff or two. One random unlock of a wardrobe item should be a great improvement.

I really enjoyed the armor/weapon items we used to get with Achievement Chests. Wardrobe Unlocks would be a great item to add to Achievement Chests. As it is now, only the 5000-point chests seem worth looking forward to.
