[Suggestion] Pay for WPs w/Unbound Magic
Personally, I’m saving my unbound magic for purchasing things. There’s plenty of money flying around for WP costs. I don’t think I’d ever use a feature like that. /shrug
This would lock them to LWS3.
I’d rather spend a Spirit Shard. I’m swimming in those.
It’s just a thought. My thinking was that at some point we’ll all have an ever increasing amount of unbound magic on our accounts and waypoints would make a good sink for it. They could enable it when someone unlocks gathering of unbound magic. They could even put an account switch for an account preference.

^^ This. You cannot get unbound magic without LS3 so what happens to those who don’t have it?
But, there’s always going to be something to spend Unbound Magic on. Magic-Warped Bundles/Packets may be a gamble, but do pay off with something of worth.

They do indeed, despite being rather sceptical about the Magic-Warped Packet I’ve never lost money on those (when buying large amounts, that is). The ascended drop rate is quite high. The Magic-Warped Bundle is very profitable too.
And if you don’t want to spend gold alongside your unbound magic you can spend up to 900 a day on the Sentient Singularity.
I didn’t know about the Sentient Singularity. I flagged the achievement. I’m going to finish that one as soon as possible.

And also this item is way better because does not only consider items in your inventory, but deposited too ( not sure if into bank or just the ones into material stashes ).

The reason we pay for waypoints at all is to sink currency from the game. There are always going to be plenty of sinks for unbound magic; there are almost never enough sinks for gold.
In other words, I can see why some players might want this as an option, but I don’t see how ANet would consider it good for the game overall.
There’s also the Obsidian you can buy with it which goes into Empyreal Stars, Dragonite, Bloodstone Bricks and Fulgerite. I can’t see myself ever having a surplus of unbound magic. It’s too easy to spend.
