Guild Wars 2

I think the quarterstaff could be a great new weapon for Guild Wars 2 and I’m wondering what other people think of this idea. This weapon could be usable by warrior, guardian, and ranger, as well as maybe elementalist and mesmer. I’m personally thinking this could be a good defensive melee weapon, but it might have some good offensive capabilities, too. Anyone who has any suggestions regarding this, please mention them.

I’ve been mulling over a proposal for thieves and possibly warriors to use staves as a melee weapon.

Be advised that they’re more likely to use current weapons in more ways than to introduce new weapons. Its just a matter of cost/value as adding a new weapon comes with extra art overhead, coding new recipes to craft it, tinkering with drop tables to include the new weapon, a new Legendary has to be designed, etc.
