Suggestion: Queue for EOTM
Because that’s the point of EOTM creation.
A pvp wvw map without queue.
That would only shift the problem to someone else though. The quick fix would be to remove the R vs G vs B and make it completely random, making it even on all sides.
There’s nothing more frustrating than to enter Edge of the Mists only to discover only a few allies nearby (or worse, none at all), and everything on your side is being tossed to and fro like a hot potato amongst enemy servers as they cap everything you have – and you can’t do anything about it. You feel absolutely helpless.
I’m talking about the EOTM overflows.
I didn’t really notice it until I was a victim of the EOTM overflows myself, and I can tell you it isn’t fun.
The suggestion here is simple. Give players the opportunity to move to a more populated EOTM instance whenever it is possible (if someone leaves a more populated EOTM instance for example). After all, all the other WvW instances have it, why not EOTM?

It may come as a surprise to others, but I actually like EOTM and sometimes I get bored of Eternal Battlegrounds and the other 3 WvW borderlands.

that is unfortunate for you, but does not answer the question that was asked. When you turn the supposed “playinground” for waiting for the other maps into a regular WvW map, you would need to create yet another map that serves the function EOTM was introduced for… ad infinitum, cause you will find a player that will advocate his favorite queue becoming a regular one.
Just change it so that it fill one map and then start to dump players in next map. Of course this is player fault too because when they don’t see commander and they log out and try to get next overflow. Problem just is that there often is like 5 overflows that have outnumbered. System should try to keep overflows full as possible not just scatter players around.

These empty overflows are exactly what I love. Come in, find empty overflow, ferry guildies in, train everything.

That would horrible as it would force the system to constantly auto-balance.
ex: you’ve spent an hour capturing objectives for the red team and now you’re working on taking a keep, the walls are down to 5%… suddenly 15 ppl drop out of eotm and the system has to shift players around to keep teams even.. oops, now you’re blue and you’re ported to the other side of the map and all your work is wasted.
that sure sounds like fun.
plus how would that even work for supply drops into your home citadel if the winning team is made up of players from random, possibly competing servers?
