So I got my 5yr present and I noticed a box and so I preview it and saw all these items…so many…I clicked it and prayed for something good…I got a love struck axe which is awesome!!
Can we Like put theses in the Gem store? Or maybe buy with reward token’s or even event completions. This is so cool, I love opening it and getting something I DO not own but its totally random!
At Least with these you actually get something guaranteed unlike the BLC where its so random you get a bunch of crap mostly
I say good job Arena Net, really love the idea, till now this is the first time I have seen this in game, Though I do pop on and off at times.
They aren’t likely to add the Guaranteed Wardrobe Unlocks to the gemshop for a couple of reasons. First, they are a major perk of the BL Chests and making them available separately devalues BL Keys, something they already sell. Second, it’s a guaranteed unlock — it would interfere with the otherwise healthy trading post markets in fancy skins.
I can see why people (including myself) like these, but I can’t see ANet making them available in quantity.

Well, Just like that, if they are just a drop from black lion chests, Nope! not gonna happen, I will not buy a single chest hoping to get that.BL chest is already a crappy RNG and another RNG over it to unlock lets say bunny ears, For me NO THANKS! If those unlocks sold on BL even for high gem price, I’ll look at it to see if I like and then buy it.
One more thing is that wardrobe unlock is a combination of items that I absolutely don’t care, such as glider, mini, backpack and full armor skins. Others might like those, but I won’t pay for something that might drop a mini for me which I’ll never use. I played wow for about 10 years and never pulled a pet although I had 99% of them.
Same goes for home nodes and contracts, although I can buy most of them from TP.
Can’t blame you, bobsort. The odds aren’t good for getting the stuff you really want. Better to spend the gold (or gems converted to gold) directly on the stuff you do want; in the long run, most people will save time & money (and frustration).
BL keys are good idea only for people who think the moment of excitement just before opening is worth 125 gems (or 93 gems for the next few hours).
