[Suggestion] Rangers need fitting armor!
P.S. Please, stop the military, rogue, and sci-fi looking armor sets for rangers, but make rangers look like rangers again. Thanks!
You may want to look into the Triumphant armor from WvW.

I did on release — yuck.
May I ask what makes you think that it qualifies for any of my points? I am genuinely curious as it has none of what I am asking for. On the contrary, it embodies almost everything I despise about most (especially newer) medium armor sets. It is militant (metal, blades), it doesn’t look like a ranger’s armor at all. It has no pouches, no leather bags, no anything. It covers all the skin. It is awful!

I still think class armor needs to be something added to the game.

I think this would be a mistake – what if you liked parts of another classes outfit? I think the joy of the game is to mix and match different sets – though I would be delighted if Anet could create something similar to mistward for other classes durring this comming expansion.
What we need is a more simple touch – and less overdesigned (bulky) gear that looks like it was thrown right out of Warhammer 40k.

There are some nice medium in the legacy armor boxes from wvw/spvp tracks.
Abosolutely, 100%, agreed. Light armor classes could use some love too. So tired of robes and trench coats. I would like some actual medium and light armor that looks like armor and not a dress.
For numbers, see attachment.
- shorter coats (2)
- more vests, jackets (1, 3)
- more chest visibility (3)
- less arm coverage (unless jacket)
- no neck covers (2, 3)
- more half-length gloves w/ cut fingers (1, left hand)
- more straps (1, 3)
- more bags & pouches (1, 2, 3)
- more ranger accessories (hunting dagger, bags, pouches)
- more hoods (2)
Hi there! Engi main here.
Just wondering if there were more than three or four armor sets devoted to us.
I do agree that most of the outfits fit a rougue character than a ranger or even an engineer.

That’s sort of the thing. Thief gets all the design love for medium sets, generally.
They just don’t seem to know what to do with engineer or ranger, which is strange, because they have a whole previous game to draw upon.

I really hope PoF will have some fitting armor sets for those classes. I am sick and tired of either thiefish skins, some truly ugly ones, or futuristic ones that couldn’t be further off from the design of the game.
It would also be cool to get some gw1 style armour: https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Ranger_armor
I agree though, the Ranger style of armour is lacking and makes me glad I rolled a Sylvari because I can avoid the poor armour choices via the cultural sets.
Dragonbrand
Amen to this!!!!

With my primary character which is an engineer I use a combo of sneakthief and strider tunic / gloves. It gives the engineer a utility look.
I still think class armor needs to be something added to the game.
They should definitely add the Obsidian Armor again, I’d have to roll a Human Ranger for that!
