Suggestion:Reduce fog/increase draw distance.
That screenshot reminds be how beautiful Guild Wars 2 is… oh the landscapes.
Ah, about the fog, yes. Reduce it a little please.
The problem with this is that there’s barely anything to draw beyond the playable area’s boundaries. Even now it’s easy enough to find spots where you can peek just past the last cliffs and see nothing but foggy void.
Increasing the draw distance would only make this more obvious. The zones would have to be rebuilt for this to work.

I understand that the fog is needed beyond the boundaries of each zone but they could at least reduce the fog inside a zone…
I don’t think anything needs to be rebuilt if they gave us the option to remove the fog or increase the draw distance inside a zone.
Take,for example,Gendarran Fields…

Here is a screenshot of my character looking toward Lake Gendarr from Vigil Keep.
The fog is already obscuring Brigantine Isles because the draw distance barely renders past Newbeach Bluffs..
They could at least give us settings to reduce fog and increase the draw distance so the viewable landscape reaches as far as Northfields/Ascalon Settlement or even further…

The fade is likely the result of not murdering your gpu by demanding it renders everything within range of you. You also forget that zones are actually scaled down as far as distance. It would take maybe an hour to travel from Rata Sum to the far edges of Blazeride Steppes. But is it really that little distance between the two points? No, it’s more like 50-100 times that distance. Places like DR look big, but it’s deceptive about it. DR is massive.
Even Mount Maelstrom. You scale the side of a volcano in a matter of minutes, despite it being an appreciable size that would take hours to scale. Even moreso once you realize the scale of it on the map.
I highly doubt that increasing the landscape draw distance in GW2 will “murder” mid to high-end GPUs..especially when other MMOs like TERA and ArcheAge are able to do it and still be perfectly playable. See for yourself.

And besides..I’m not asking for ANet to force higher draw distance on everybody.
I just want them to give us the CHOICE to control how much of the landscape we want to see…
Players with lower-end PCs could decrease draw distance to get higher framerates.
Players with higher-end PCs could increase draw distance to see a prettier visuals.
Everybody wins.

I agree about the fog,but the overal draw distance is ok with me tbh.Like when you compare it to Tera for eg the view distance is massive..but the mob distance is way to short, wich doesn’t happen in gw2 since you can see mobs from miles away.
