Hey everyone,
I’ve been playing GW2 for a long time now and been mainly playing WvW. As a WvW player i consider the gear which can be bought for Badges of Honor the main reward for playing wvw. The only problem with this is that u cant salvage this gear. I know this was implemented in the game so you cant exchange BoH into gold. While I can see the reasons behind this decision, I have a huge problem with this. After equipping a lot of characters with wvw-gear and using runes/sigils on them, I ended up with 2 bank tabs full of wvw-gear with expensive runes that i cant use anymore. Now I know that there is an item in the gemstore to solve this problem but its not worth it since its almost every time cheaper to buy new runes/sigils.
Because of this my suggestion is that when you salvage a piece of wvw-gear you get the runes/sigils back and only these. I am not asking for crafting materials or anything I only want to get my runes back. I think this is a reasonable suggestion since the fact that you can’t reuse the gold that you put into your main rewards as a wvw player puts you at an significant financial disadvantage in comparison to players of the other game modes.

I would be happy about every response since i think this bothers a lot of wvw players.

TL;DR pls change wvw-gear and let us remove upgrades from it with salvagekits

They should just let us salvage them.

If players want to convert badges into coins, they do it it much more efficiently by buying and selling siege blueprints than by salvaging expensive armor that doesn’t even come with any runes.

They really do need to let us salvage them. By this point it would not hurt much as there are man exotic items selling for less then a gold on the trading post. They could even prevent us from trying to make money off it by preventing us from getting exto etc from them
