Pretty much any time you are using the Copper-Fed Salvage kit, its on Blues and Greens (very common from SW), and you don’t always have easy access to a vendor to sell, so I think it may be a good idea to change it to 0% chance to recover, seeing as all the green upgrades are only 16-18c each. It would not make it any more useful, other then not needing to find a vendor or spend an annoying amount of time trashing them.

This would only affect the Copper-Fed Salvage Kit though as it is behind a gem price, and the Silver-Fed is useful for Rares and Exotics which have good upgrades.

Personally, I’d rather see a suggestion made by, iirc, Just a Flesh Wound, that ANet implement a one-click “Vendor Runes/Sigils” feature.

…Or you could just delete any excess runes and imagine you never salvaged anything in the first place.

Instead of altering the copper-fed, my suggestion to deal with the “trash” that the salvage kits produces plus all the junk we get.

Have an option on the inventory that says vendor runes/sigils/junk
Selecting this option vendors these items no matter where you are. No need to go to a merchant.
The items leave your inventory and the vendor value arrives in your bank.
If you accidently vendor something you wanted to keep you can go to a merchant and buy it back, at least till you leave the map.
Or the option can be to only auto vendor masterwork runes/sigils plus all junk.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

yea 16 copper thats 5 free salvages with the copper fed mate.

Dont change this just becouse some cant stand to go to a merchant when they are cleaning out their bags.

Edit
Could always do the ecto gamble and get the carry around forge to upgrade greens to yellow then salvage aswell.

Or just delete all green/yellow sigils and runes form the game. They are useless anyway even for leveling…

A better idea would be an option to turn off all green or lower loot going into your inventory at all. This game is the most stingy of anything I have ever seen, and quite frankly, most of junk they dump on us is just an insult, so I’d rather just get nothing at all.

Haha. That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve read in a while—thanks for the laugh. “I hate loot. Take it all away, give me nothing instead.” The lulz, my friend. The lulz.

And honestly if you really don’t want all the greens and blues I will happily take them off your hands. My material storage is pretty empty these days and my Copper-Fed Salvage-o-Matic is HUNGRY.

More seriously though, Just a Flesh Wound’s suggestion is absolutely the best one I’ve seen on this topic. It really does address a number of concerns and in my opinion would be a huge QoL improvement if it were implemented. +1 for sure.

I think the copper fed is fine as it is but I would like a salvage kit that has 0% chance of extracting upgrades. When I am mass salvaging I just don’t want to have to deal with minor and major runes. I just don’t. I don’t care if I am losing liquid gold (however little of it) by not getting the runes, I don’t want them clogging up my inventory and forcing me to stop in the middle of my mass salvaging

Honestly, either of these could work as well. My issue is mass salvaging (Looking at you SW bags)
