Throwing back to GW1….I was talking to one of my guilds yesterday about how much I love Norn’s cultural armor, and how nifty it would be to add a few pieces of it to my human’s wardrobe.

and then I was thinking.

Why was a racial reputation system never implemented. like maybe have a series of daily hearts or events you can do in those areas to gain favour with that race, and then have a set of weapons/armor that are ranked based on your influence with said race?

I thought it would be interesting.

Yes, I think that would be quite nice.

Not really sure why some armours are, currently, limited to certain races?

I understand that you might not, automatically, get them.

But, as you say, I don’t see why you couldn’t work towards them.

Or don’t allow cultural armor on a different race xD, that would be a bad idea. Keep the armor that is race specific, but maybe add a unique armor from that culture, happy medium.

Iconic to that 1 race. Should not lose that I agree. It be nice if you could get one set (different from racial) trough some sort of reward track though as you say

The New Races, Learning their languages and lore, might lead to new items or armor and weapons. So maybe we will see more of it introduced to other races?, if it is a success anyway. Special items that are cultured around that race, would be neat. one could dream though.
