Title says it all, that or make them more obtainable via other or cheaper means. Currently 200 gems for 7 dyes, that rely solely on RNG, your not guaranteed a rare, your not even guaranteed you won’t get a dye you already have. You can get 1 unidentified RNG dye for 5 laurels, they can be crafted but again at a very high cost, which would be acceptable if when I craft a unidentified color rare dye, if I knew I would at least get an uncommon dye, but it doesn’t. It’s also one of the few items needed for gifts used in crafting a Legendary that isn’t in the loot table, other being Box o Fun. (That I know of, which I think is equally unreasonable.)
I do like the idea of the Gem store’s Color swatch, but with that being added it would be nice to see the unidentified dyes return to the loot table. Even if it was at a slightly lower drop rate then it was before. I wouldn’t even be opposed to have a PvP reward track where it was possible to obtain dyes from.
I’m curious to know how newer players feel about the removal. You used to be able to get tons of dyes, but now new players don’t have that same access.
Hopefully they can come back to the loot table, even if the rate is lower.

I definitely miss dyes from the loot table. They could just decrease the times you might get them, as Piano Man suggested, especially from plants, but to remove them this way was a bad idea.
I’d say only certain types of plants, and let it be the set “Unidentified (Color) Dye”. Like Blueberries can sometimes provide an Unidentified Blue/Purple Dye.
I mean, it does cheapen how Chefs can create the dyes, but at the same time . . . they were already pretty cheapened on release all the same. And still are due to the Laurel exchange for dye packs.
