What if we had rich nodes for trees like the ones we haev for metal nodes ? I think it would be a nice addition since we will need loads of wood for the legendary crafting.
An even better idea. Well… imo… would be to create a community/group event, weekly or daily(weekly sounds better) that people can gather around a tree, a huge tree like those in Brisban wildlands, Caledon forest etc, and chop it. It will give everyone rewards, significaly more than just choping down a small tree… like maybe 20-50 or more ( because it will be weekly). It can be in any region (so we can get the proper logs) and each player can only get one tree per specific log per week. so 1 tree of soft logs, hard logs etc… Another thing that can be done is that they can all be tha same huge tree but it will give different rewards depending on how well the event goes ( how many people attending, the axes they are using etc). I think making some of these changes will make farming for materials a little if not a lot more enjoyable

I like the idea but there seems to be more tree nodes to make up for it and outside of the WvW jumping puzzles there are no rich orihalcum nodes.

That rich ori node is rich in name only anyway.

Nope .. against it .. else i want also rich nodes of enchanted loadstones and
powerful blood.

Trees often give 2 logs per swing .. thats more or less the compensation for
not having rich trees.

EVERY MMO is awesome until it is released then its unfinished. A month after release it just sucks.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

They can but it might be a bug. Your powerful blood rich node is Silverwaste I open the exotic bags and sometimes I’ll get three powerful bloods though the Karka Queen quest chain is far more reliable.

Trees aren’t all that difficult to get especially if you pay attention to their spawn patterns. If you care about the efficiency of gathering them then you should definitely be paying attention to their spawn patterns.

As an added bonus, these ‘rich trees’ should spew their leaves all over the ground and “make it rain!” so that we can know exactly which trees are ballers and which ones aren’t.

If everyone quit cutting down all the saplings, maybe there would be older, more rich trees.

I laughed out loud and snorted and got a weird look from my boss (luckily he’s a gamer and understood)… YOU RACIST.

Nah, they just have a really long lifespan.

I think it would seem odd to have bigger choppable trees simply because how you have some trees you can chop, and others, of the same size, that you can’t. Sure, it wouldn’t be that confusing because of the UI but still, the visual effect of felling a larger tree is a little at odds with it having no practical gameplay effect.

In stead I’d like to see more areas with little groves of trees, like the one around that melandru statue in Orr. Functionally it’s about the same as a rich node, it’s just nicer to look at, and you have to walk two steps between them.

That idea of “farms” of trees is good but a bit of of my point :P Also when we chop down the tree u dont see it falling… it just dissapears. So having a huge tree that everyone helps chop would be an issue ( from a “visuals” persective).

The 2 logs per swing u think is enough ? when u get 10-20 metal from rich metal nodes… and wanting nodes giving blood and loadstones is totaly irrelevant and illogical

Metal nodes arent that difficult to get too… Of course if you know the spawn patterns… But there are still rich metal nodes in the game
