Hi,

I’m old school. I prefer to level naturally rather than instantly. Tomes of Knowledge, I have no use for, and I don’t know if others feel the same, but I think being able to use a salvage kit on these for perhaps a random piece of paper or two for scribing, might please me.

It might be useful for people who already have enough level 80 characters, and their guild hall no longer needs any in the treasury.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

Or you can just use them on a level 80 for spirit shards?

I currently have 2 full stacks of Tomes of Knowledge in my bank, plus almost another full stack (227). That doesn’t count the Scrolls of experience I’ve not yet converted to tomes to save space. I also have THOUSANDS of spirit shards and 10 L80 characters. I would love to have a USEFUL option to get rid of the tomes. Heck, I’d even accept the option to trade 80 in for a L80 boost item just so I could condense them all into a single stack of (still useless to me) items.

Perhaps another option would be to allow them to be traded for boosters (XP/Magic find or the various buff boosts). I’d REALLY love it if you could trade a number of them in to get mastery point (it would have to work like the Proofs of Heroics and Hero points, counting as completing a random achievement to provide the MP).

You can make gold off spirit shards. Tomes = spirt shards. So that is useful.

I’d rather we be able to salvage the level 20 and 30 scrolls into tomes.

Another current use for tomes is for key farming. In addition to the weekly lvl 10 story key there is a key drop at lvl 40 and lvl 60 of the personal story. That’s what I do whenever i feel like i’ve got an excess of tomes
