Guild Wars 2

I just noticed that we have most of the well known melee weapons in the game except for spears. I currently can’t put my finger on it, but I always imagined that these types of weapons would be really neat to have for Tyria. I can picture most of the skills having to do with dashing towards your foes at a great distance. I am not gonna ask for a new class for it as I think Warriors and Guardians can use them just fine. But what do you guys think about it?

EDIT: The spears and tridents for underwater combat don’t count.

Leave the spears out, one type of spear already would cause confusion!

How ever I am very much in favor of more two handed options, such as Axes, and various polearms, not to mention a few more one handed options could added.

I believe it was even mentioned at some point in the ancient past that more weapon options were being looked into.

But there are a lot of things being looked into for which nothing is ever heard again.

I’d like to be optimistic about this as I am in no hurry in seeing certain suggestions and feedback come realized that’s related to actual improvement in the overall experience. I am thinking of replacing Spears and Polearms with Halberds (thinking about Lu Bu’s weapons from Dynasty Warriors)
