Hi,

As the topic title says, I would like to suggest the addition of another panel into the current Hero panel. This panel would include statistics of the player throughout its whole playtime, like number of mobs killed, total amount of gold gathered, total damage done to enemies/players, maximum damage ever dealt etc, I think you get what I mean.
These statistics could be divided in two general categories, refering to both the entire account and each character alone.

I have found these info very interesting in other MMOs (if I remember right WoW had such a panel too) as they depict the progress and dedication of the player in GW2. It is also something relatively easy to implement. My only uncertainty is that if such statistics are currently saved to the servers, so that if this feature goes online, the statistics would include info from the very start of each account/character and not from the launching date.

I’d really appreciate to hear the ideas and suggestions of other community members and if you also would enjoy such a feature.

A presentation at the one-year mark showed ANet does track this kind of thing. I remember the enemy type that had the most player kills was one of the Risen. They probably have the data; it would just be a matter of querying it.

That said, any discussion of this sort is going to drift towards “Damage Meter” and the necessity of such a thing ruining the game for a lot of players.

They don’t have to have that kind of statistics/data. Could just display ‘total damage taken ever’, most killed creature, total krait/nightmare court/etc. killed…

OP’s suggestion is only feasible if ANet has kept account statistics since launch. While they undoubtably keep statistics for the game as a whole, that doesn’t mean it’s kept per account. I would think it wouldn’t be, as it’s useless information that takes up data space.

This is exactly my concern, that the data are too many to be held for each character and each account from launch of the game.
As of damage meter, this must not be an issue, because the game itself will be saving these data only for statistics, not to compare it with other players.

This statistics system is only for personal achievement and to keep track of all the things we have done since account creation, which I find it very interesting!! Don’t know if you feel the same excitement as me for that system :P
There are many things, from very unimportant (trees lumbered, foods eaten), to more serious (highest dmg ever dealt), that would be awesome to monitor after many hours of play.

I wish a dev takes notice of this suggestion, especially to solve our question if Anet keeps track of such data (even some of them) or not.
