Suggestion: TP filter - only non-owned skins
Forum search does not work, you need to google or use the method in the sticky at the top of this forum page.
The answer remains the same, or at least mine does: To do such a filter would require the TP to check its listings against your account each time it loads. This would take a very long time, making quick perusal of the market impossible and rendering the TP useless for its intended purpose of the swift flow of goods through the economy.
You don’t need to do the check automatically. You can execute it only at user request, after the TP has loaded normally.
that it makes every other class in the game boring to play.”

Are you looking for a specific skin or just browsing skins in general?
That would be a nice feature. I added to my unlocked skins on occasion via scanning the TP for new ones, and it was a bother. If such a feature would have existed, I’d have finished that title much quicker (1000 skins unlocked, whatever title goes with it).
I’m sure I’m missing some still, so would still appreciate such a feature.
As to why they haven’t implemented the feature the OP mentions…
It’d be my guess it’s because players can already look in the wardrobe feature in the bank to ID skins they don’t have.

Although the skin name and the item name are not always the same.
Hmm This is doable through the API. Slightly surprised if this hasn’t already implemented by one of the sites that makes use of the API keys.

GW2efficiency.com has a wardrobe page that lists all possible wardrobe skins in each category and then highlights the ones you do have. It even lets you filter out the ones you own so you only see the ones you don’t have yet. And when you click on a skin it shows you what items grant that skin (thus showing you what item to buy/hunt for that skin). Its a crude workaround because you can’t do it in game, but it does work currently until/if ANet decides to implement similar functionality in the game itself.

I’ve not run into that, so I’ll have to take your word for it.

The skins on precursors before collections was added would be an easy example. Those skins are now on the “Perfected” set of weapons.
