Hi Anet, and all. As a roleplayer, I’m among those who were surprised when the clothes items I bought for my chars were turned into time-limited tonics. I know it’s not a major issue for the majority of players, and I can hear people saying “Just open inventory and double-click it again” and they’d be right, but that leaves; having to, and; the explosion of confetti that it seems must accompany getting dressed in Tyria these days.

Would it be possible to remove entirely the timer, leaving it to player discretion to when the clothes come off, so to speak? I’d appreciate such a change in functionality, and I know of hundreds of players who would likely be thankful, too.

Thanks for reading this suggestion. All sensible discussion greatly welcome!

I agree, or at the very least, could the confetti be considered for removal if nothing else? Or replaced with something more subtle?

Personally, I would rather see a return to having an “Town Clothes” tab, but I’m well aware that this will not occur due to the direction Anet has decided to take. I’d therefore add my voice to the plea to at the very least remove the confetti, which serves no purpose other than to annoy. And if at all feasible (And I don’t see why it would not be) to extend the timer or make it indefinite. We’ve already had to endure our items being turned into something we didn’t pay for, the least Anet can do is make it as pain free to use the replacement as possible.

I don’t understand why existing one off pieces weren’t turned into full outfits. They took the time to design an outfit based on the single pieces. Why a tonic and not a full outfit?
