As I have said before, I think GW2 is one of the most beautiful games I’ve ever played. ..As such, I really wish I could see more of it, and less of the immersion-breaking whiz-gigs.

Many games allow you customize which elements of the UI are visible, and I think it would add something the the game if GW2 had this as well.

…For instance.

Damage & Healing Floaters – I’d really rather be able to see my character, and the enemy I’m fighting than a cluster of numbers floating up the center of the screen. I’m more concerned with immersion than the particular number of damage, or healing I do.
Given the fact that these numbers vary all depending on what zone I happen to be in at the time, make them even less relevant to me. …Really, as long as my enemy falls down in a timely fashion, I’m happy. Please let me turn the silly numbers off.

Pet Titles & Health Bars – Why do I need to see my pet’s name? Or for that matter, the abbreviation for the guild that my pet, through me, happens to be a member of? I remember what I named my pet, I know what guild I belong to. For that matter, I don’t need my pet’s health displayed in two, separate places. The health bar for my pet, above my skill bar works just fine for me, thank you.

I know we can turn of the UI completely, but all or nothing is a bit extreme. Please give us the option to minimize the amount of immersion-breaking data on the screen, and eliminate redundant information.
