This has been a thing which has been a question to me for a while.

Is there no way at all to allow us to recolor the hair accessories without a make over kit? If not, is there a way please to -add- colors to them?

We’ve been provided a dizzying array of new colors for our eyes, our hair and the skin tone palette in GW2 is one of the most extensive I’ve seen in a long while.

But the hair accessories continue to be sparse in choice and appearance. Is there a chance this could be updated soon? If it’s one of those nearly impossible things then that’s understandable.

In many post I have seen and I have proposed the same color hair accessory can be changed in your menu hero to combine it with your armor.

If they did that would be great, and I would add that the objects could also be dyed back all those that could, for on equally a part of the visible armor.

Gaile, you would be my hero FOREVER if you could get this through. Seriously… FOREVER.

I generally avoid hair styles with accessories because of the limited number of hair accessory colors available, we need to be able to dye them with the same colors we can dye our armors with.

This is something I have thought about before. It would be really nice if hair accessories were dye-able from the hero menu (like armor), rather than being tied to the hairstyle. Also, being able to choose from the account dye pool would be really nice as well. My Norn has been wearing the same color bandana for a really long time. (Grey colored bandanas are so last year.)

Thank you hugely Gaile for the reply and effort. Even if the change is eventually tied to a make over kit since those accessories are part of character hair/items, it would still be a huge boost in variety for the players. It might be nicer if it was available outside of the kit however.

I don’t think that they would add them outside the hairstyle/makeover kits because some of the latest hairstyles actually blend the accessory color with the hair color. Having this outside one of those kits without making a separate category for the secondary hair color within those kits would probably create a bit of controversy.

Either way, I am really ready for expanded accessory colors!

^Same…made a Norn once, wanted her to have a super white look, white hair, celestial armor, palest skin…and light brownish bandana -.- Come on, even just adding the new colors you added for hair and eyes would be enough, if that’s impossible to use the dyes in your wardrobe…

I’ll support hero-menu dyes on hair accessories. The engine would support it as part of the wardrobe without too many issues; all that would really need to be done is copy-paste some code snippets and create a new icon in the wardrobe UI.

Since the hero panel was revamped to make room for finishers, wardrobe, outfits and other visual changes, a small box for accessories to be recolored doesn’t seem impossible but that’s up to the devs to say in the end. Maybe in the space on the hero panel beside our class symbol in the upper right where the previous list of Charm/Nobility/Ferocity used to be?

This gives me hope lol. Maybe hairstyles with accessories will finally be an option for me

By any chance, would it be difficult to also include the new colors into the Sylvari glows as well? Or skin tones?

The ability to preview still locked dyes is amazing! Will this be a trial run before we’re able to see offered dyes for make over kits to use on accessories and the like? Will this ever include Charr horns and Norn tattoos as well?

Okay, we have won one small battle in the expanded hair accessory colors war but the fight’s not over yet! Is it still impossible to get the rest of the beautifully extensive hair/eye colors added to the accessory palette or a small box in the UI to let us recolor that thing? The new colors for accessories are awesome, yes. However, a basic black and white could’ve gone so far for many people. Is this still in the works?

Sometimes you need a truly rotten zombie to remind you some things still stinks, years later… So yes, please Anet give more love to the hair accesories, horns, ears and tatoos!
