Suggestion: Use dodge to reduce fall damage

Not sure there is a need for this idea.
Ever since the introduction of gliders basically everywhere, the fall-dmg traits lost their value. Making them a fundamental part of each class would free the slot for a new trait.
The mechanic could be: Press ‘v’ while falling and you receive your class’s fall damage trait for 0.5 seconds (20 s cooldown).

In WvW for example, theres no room for falling dmg traits and theres no gliding possible. Why should i pick a traitline only for a useless trait. I was asking for sth completly different

That was 2 years ago and is still viable today. It’s always possible to exploit player stupidity.

Usually useless, but it’s hilarious when you’re outnumbered in a besieged keep. Especially with Warrior’s stomp thing.
I’ve heard of people doing it on PvP maps with Mes portals too. It’s such a pointless (yet ubiquitous) trait 99% of the time though
Dark Souls and I think the N64 Zelda games do this.

… but, but… I LOVE using my glider to drop on enemies and send them flying with my warrior!
