Hey guys.

Over the last two years, we’ve been getting a number of quality of life changes as far character aesthetics and previews are concerned. The wardrobe system not only allows for easier transitions between item looks than what we had in the past (transmutation crystals, bleh), but it also allows us to easily preview items we have yet to obtain, which means we can, to some degree, plan our character’s appearance ahead. Even dyes we have not obtained yet, have now been added to this convenient preview system.

But, one thing I think the wardrobe is missing, is the ability for us to experiment with character creation and to preview newly introduced face and hair styles.

As it stands right now, the only way to preview new hairstyles, faces or hair and eye colours, is to buy a character creation kit or hair style kit from the gem store. This isn’t very convenient because not everyone wants to spend gems just to preview new options that they might not end up liking or using. In addition to that, even if you do have a creation kit, I still think it would be nice for players to be able to preview a character they’re creating, and then also preview armor and dye colours for them all in one, seamless preview system in the wardrobe, rather than having separate character creation preview windows as we currently do, which is not as convenient.

If the ability to preview different character creation options was added to the wardrobe, players would be able to plan the entire look and feel for their characters in advanced before committing to any purchase, be they from the gem store or otherwise. I think this would give players a fun and convenient way to experiment with new looks.

In addition, I think it would be really nice to be able to “test drive” changes you make with the “total makeover kit” and the “self-style Hair kit.” That is, provide a button to make the changes you have selected, but only temporarily, for say 2-5 minutes or so.

I can’t tell you how many times I have used a total makeover kit, only to start running around in the world with the changes I selected and realize that I need to tweak little things. Such as the hight of my Charr because his idle animation with the rifle makes the tip of his rifle go into the ground with many rifle skins, and he needs to be just a couple inches taller to keep this from happening. Problems like that aren’t able to be shown in the preview window of the “total makeover kit.”

We need the Wardrobe to have locked skins available for preview. Similiar to the dies. That. That would make me soooooo happy!
