[Suggestion] Would you guys like a BESTIARY?
(edited by Zaron.1987)
There’s the Slayer Achievements. Doesn’t give a title but keeps track of killing 1000 of a number of enemies. Bandits, bats, skelk, Giants, plants, etc etc
ANet may give it to you.
I want to see how many rabbits I’ve killed.. So yes
Yes, definitely. I’m thinking more on the screen with all the enemy types displayed to see whenever you want, and those misterious silhouettes for those you havent found yet.
Great idea!
that it makes every other class in the game boring to play.”

Considering there’s barely 25 monsters to rub together to make one? :\
It was a major criticism my friend had after playing for a while. So many repeated monsters and all the same color. It smacks of weak monster design.
That aside, more features and lore is great. And I like the idea of having it as a collection. I hope the devs take this one seriously.

it seems many like them better than the games they comment on.” -Horrorscope.7632
I feel a distinct lack of beautiful real-life gw2 illustrated tomes for my bookshelves. I’ve got lots of interesting books in glorious collector’s editions, Tolkien, all the Myst series books, but I’d love some gw2. An in-game collection would be great, but I love rl collectibles even more
That collection already exist. It’s call Trash Collector.
One of my favorite things about a lot of the Final Fantasy games~ especially 12, which had tons of lore about everything in that game.
Warframe has a fun one that you fill by snapping pictures of enemies.
I would love it. Where all monters would be described that u have defeated already once.
- some lore about them
- which attacks are strong against them
- where u can met them again
Smth like that. Like in “The Witcher”.
It would make the game definetly more fun, knowing some background story about the monsters that you are fighting.
I’d be really fun to see a Metroid style creature codex. I don’t know if the game is so hard that we really would need such a thing, but perhaps for dungeons it would be engaging.
Slayer achievements are too lackluster, and doesn’t even get close to a bestiary collection. Imagine all the creatures hidden away in open world JPs, or mini-dungeons, or raids, or even in the new WvW maps? Wonderful!

The idea is nice but ultimately I think that sort of thing works much better in ever changing (probably procedurely generated) world instead of the static one we have in GW2 and most other MMOs.
