I played GW2 on Xbox controller since beta using Xpadder…
I personally prefer NOT having a native controller support because I dont want them to screw up my control scheme that I have going already.

I would love to see controller support for this game. My husband was injured in combat, and lost a lot of mobility in his left hand/wrist, making keyboard/mouse gaming rather painful for him. Though he loves his MMOs, they’re simply too painful for him to play for more than an hour.

I totally recommend the Steam controller here. This thing shines for games you wish had controller support. It has a slight learning curve to get used to it, but once I got used to it, it just felt like another controller. I use it for Guild Wars 2 on occasion, and with the new Action Camera, it works very well.

Only “issues” is that you have to run the game through steam, and initial setup can possibly be a pain. I had to configure every action to the controller myself since I got the controller kind of early. But now other uses have shared their configurations, so you can just use one of those as a basis.
