Suggestion

Add a secondary effect to Healing Power and Toughness.

What if Healing Power, along side what it currently does, what if it also increases boon duration?

What if toughness also increased damage of retaliation and reduced condition duration, along side it’s current effect?

These stats could be much more useful.

Toughness is already in a good place and really doesn’t need a buff.

But I can agree with Healing Power needing a buff. Right now it scales horribly. However, instead of giving Healing Power a secondary effect, I’d suggest to simply increase the amount of extra healing you get from the Healing Power stat.

A good start for healing power would be to get useful stat combinations with it.

Right now the only “balanced” stat combination with healing power would be Zealot, and Anet decided to make Zealot gear an insane grind because you cant trade it. There is also Forsaken, but I am not even sure how or if you can get Forsaken gear right now.

Once this is fixed, Anet should rebalance basically every single heal in the game for better use of the healing power stat.

Hell since every class has so much heals, there could be some that heal a lot and dont scale well (like all heals currently do) and some that are mediocre but scale incredibly well.

Healing power getting a boost is slowly already getting its buffs through +outgoing healing modifiers which is percentile with more and more of it slowly being added to the game over time (Up to 32.50% from items, not including aquatic benevolence from elementalist water magic tree, I’ve yet to test if this stacks flat with items for 57.50% total outgoing healing or not).

In any case as far as Original Topic I wouldn’t mind seeing the amount of defiance being stripped from bosses scale with toughness when CC is used come expansion, the bar already looks like the unit type is real numbers over the old integer based system which would be very friendly with decimal points with how our spreadsheet equations work.

I think most team oriented skills that benefit from healing power should have their corresponding coefficient increased. There are already some builds that are ridiculously tanky. If there was a way to not buff those then I think a change to healing power could be warranted.
