We have seen Arenanet capable of adding stuff like the flying carpet or the broom and those are even mobile.

why not add chairs (stools, kitchen chairs, armchairs, couches for diversity and maximum money generation)
to the gemstore.. you could make these items cost basically anything and they would sell either as a status symbol (“look at me i haz a credit card”) or for roleplayers…

the furniture and tree tonics prove they are able to make you immobile so as to not have people flying around in armchairs if that’s even an issue

I wouldn’t buy an armchair. I would be very tempted to buy a flying armchair. :P

Chairs-as-toys or similar deployable items have been suggested many a time given the stated technical inability to make environmental furniture interactable. The amount of squeeing that shall ensue if ANet implements the more creative variants will be epic.

Yes, I would like to see spawnable chairs, but no, I will not pay for basic emote functionality when another game I will not here not only gives me the ability to pull a chair from my rear-end, but also gives me six different non-chair sit idles as well.

Just wish we could sit on the current chairs we have in game :/

Anet basically said that will never happen. I forget where, think it was the last thread that popped up about this. But the models for each chair are different and they would have to make to many animations for it, or something like that.

But I can already turn into a chair.

Considering how many of us I see every day, we aren’t that niche.

Besides, there are plenty of other people that like setting up a home instead of being a hobo in their home instance, especially if it has a little customization with where your home nodes go and whatever stuff they could add to the gemstore to decorate your house.

I wish they’d add a chair similar to the broom and magic carpet. It could be rooted in place. Maybe have two or three different chair sitting poses to make up for the lack of mobility to make it more appealing.

BUT NOPE.

We got mail carrier skins instead.

In the “some other MMO’s already have this” department: The Elder Scrolls Online has a /sitchair command that summons a chair that your character then sits on (not to be confused with the /sit command that has your character sitting on the ground).

It’s pretty handy, particularly in taverns and inns.

Well there is a limit and I’ve reached it. Yes I spend too much. I’m a hoarder.

This reminds me of /sitchair in ESO. One minute your character is standing up with no bags or anything, the next they seemingly pull a chair out of their kitten.
