i feel i’ve come up with a reasonable solution to the unreasonably high prices of precursors, and a good way for Anet to turn a profit. every week, they have a lottery for a set number of random precursors. in order to enter said lottery, one must buy a ticket off the gem store (25gems, 100gems, w/e. price could even vary based on what pre’s are being given.) this way there’s a new, fair, RNG based format for precursors to be introduced into the general populace, Anet makes some easy money, and over time the sky-high prices will begin to fall.

sorry, absolutely not – the last thing I want in this game are rng cash shop items, they’re the bane of modern day (f2p) mmos. There are a lot of good ways to solve any precursor issue there may be, but this isn’t one of them. Plus that wouldn’t be any more “fair” or less random than the mystic toilet.

1) it’d be infinitely more fair than the mystic toilet. this guarantees some one is getting a precursor. if 100 people buy tickets, there’s a guarantee that at least 1/100 is getting a pre. if 100 people throw junk into the mystic toilet, there’s a chance 0/100 is getting a pre.

2) the issue of cash shop items is dead, as it was already instated during halloween 2014. shiny tinfoil wrappings, Halloween skins (some worth just as much as precursors.)

Ah, so because they do something once a year where you can get the tickets as really frequent ingame drops you want them to continue this trend, implement it on a weekly basis and potentially ruin the game over it? Because cash shop based rng items are actually one of those things that usually ruin games – how many f2p mmos can you think of that’d be pretty alright if they didn’t have exactly what you’re asking for in them?

And puhllleaazzee, just because someone gets a precursor (out of potentially thousands of people participating) doesn’t make it more fair for an individual person. Completely moot point.

Terrible idea is still and forever terrible. I can’t believe a user would actually suggest that. I literally can’t think of anything I’d hate for them to implement more than rng based cash shop items.

We had this with the halloween weapon skins; it wasn’t popular, and the prices didn’t really change that much effect on the prices when 100 of each were handed out simultaneously.

Right click your GW2 shortcut > “Properties”
“Shortcut” tab > “Target”
Add to the end " -bmp"

Could anybody who is a better economist than me finally write a guide what
would happen to the economy if it suddenly rains precursors ?

What i think is :
If precursers get cheaper prices of yellow items and ectos would fall, so you earn less
money with them .. and T6 mats would rise since many more people now want to
make legendarys.
In the end the legendarys would have nearly the same price or at least take you
the same time to get all the stuff than before.

And thats also the main reason IMHO why we don’t get the precurser hunt because
its really hard to see what it would do to the economy.

And of course a big NO to any cash-shop RNG stuff.

EVERY MMO is awesome until it is released then its unfinished. A month after release it just sucks.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

No. No and wait what was that…oh yes NO! I much rather have one guaranteed at 80 pvp, 1000 wvw or 20k ap

edit to address the above…if they added some measure that would increase pre..of course they’d have to counter balance related materials…that’s a given
