Dumped a couple hundred dollars last night for the bank tab upgrade additions & although I don’t think I’d use the bunny ears I bought them anyway. I noticed too the exchange rate was good for those that wanted to cash in gems for gold.

Would dump another couple hundred dollars if they bring back Aviator and Wide Rim Sunglasses. Just sayin’. Or even those awesome Boxing Gloves.

The school outfit town clothes that were never released.

Various swim suits that you already have on Southsun tourist NPCs that make me extremely jealous when I see.

rare/exclusive: The only reason bunny ears and the sunglasses were ever “rare” and “exclusive” is that they were only ever previously sold as town clothes. Most people didn’t use town clothes at all, so they didn’t buy town clothes skins.

Immersion: Please. There’s been a bow that shoots unicorns, a disco ball mace, etc. since launch, feathery wings everywhere, people turning into various creatures at random (tonics)… “immersion” is loooooong gone. A set of bunny ears or a pair of sunglasses is barely noticeable compared to most of the stuff that goes on on a regular basis.

Yeah, Immersion is long gone and every new update brings new sparkling effects with it. But atleast most of these hideous items are quite expensive and not everyone is running around with it.

However, I’ve already seen a couple charrs with pink bunny ears. Some even on twitter.
About the supporting of the game; sure it doesn’t prove that much, but atleast it’s been one item in the early stages of guild wars(3 years now!) and it was time limited.

Let me give you another example to think about, which is not only about the bunny ears. The mini liadri(Queens Gauntlet) is a mini which is non-purchasable and part of an achievement. As you might remember, people had to defeat her(and a couple other bosses) in an arena and there were a lot of people that cried on the forums and were frustrated. But there were also lots of people that enjoyed the event and loved the arena, especially because it actually took you some knowledge to defeat them(reflection, stability, bufffood with endurance regeneration preferably…etc.). Liadri(but also the other bosses) had a nice battle mechanic and I felt amazing after I defeated her and got the mini to prove it.

If liadri’s fight would have been available all day, all year then there would have been nothing special about it, as you can get her anytime. Maybe even if you’re better equipped?

And yeah, that’s what exactly happened.
They brought back Liadri after the release of both: ascended armor and weapons.

So, nothing special about that anymore. It might even come back this year once more. Who knows. The challenge is certainly easier with better gear and we had more than a month to beat her. Maybe we’ll have it back after the release of ascended bufffood.
But yeah, you might disagree with me and surely your point of view is just as justified as mine is. It has its advantages to bring back content and a lot of mmo’s do so.
The living story gw2 used to be different in that aspect. Not only does it change the world and brings new adventures, it also had one-time exclusive rewards and currencies.

And they decided to give most of these items to our laurel vendors so that all of these items are non-rare, but at best one day of farming. I’m sure there will be more.
At the end of the day, the only precious thing we keep are our memories.

That seems contradictory: the thing that made Liadri fun and hard and therefore made beating her special was that it took some skill and knowledge of the mechanics (and I’d add you have to do it solo so no one can be carried through it).

But if it’s not time-limited then that’s gone? It’s somehow not fun or hard if it’s available for longer? Does that mean the raid isn’t fun or hard, since it’s permanent?

First, look what I wrote in bold. They made the “challenge” easier by introducing new armor and weapons. After beating a boss once its less and less fun the more often you repeat it just like with every content. Liadri won’t be anymore fun if you repeat it, as not much can change. Its a soloquest basically. However, the raid is a group challenge that can change depending on the people you’re going with. That changes the experience slightly each time, even if your group uses the same tactic over and over again. Its like comparing a story instance to a dungeon.

A couple hundred? Under fifty bucks was enough for two new bank tabs, the glider, and the outfit, so 2 tabs and bunny ears can’t have been that much.

The tabs made me very happy. I spent quite a while rearranging my bank now that it has breathing room, getting things placed in categories. Feels so good. It won’t last, I’ll acquire more bits and pieces and shove them in where there is room, but for now, like items are with like items. More storage is always something I want and will buy unless finances get horrid.

Hopefully the shared slots will be expanded to let us have more of them. Unless some miracle drops a perm bank express in my lap I’m going to have plenty of things I want to permanently share among my alts.

That mini 3-pack was one of the only minis I bought off TP. Totally worth it. 10/10 would use owl as mini.

I’ve been asking about the mini avian pack for a while myself. Also as a Nevermore owner. It’s more of a need than a want really.

If “immersion” is the kind of thing that would keep sunglasses, bunny ears, and other fun stuff out of a game then it begs the question: is immersion really a good thing? Not at all. Sometimes you just need items that show you have a sense of humor.

Tribal armor!

The light armor set that you could only make in PvP for the longest time but was lost in the ether when the wardrobe system came out. I still fawn over the set when previewing things! Every update gets me so excited that it might come out again.

Phalanx armor pleaseeeee i need that to complete my set!

I think a middle road should be taken, bring lots of the old stuff back but keep others exclusive. As to the picture I apologize in advance for the jagged edges, I have AA turned off because reading tells better is worth way more than smoothing out edges (though I probably should have turned it on for screenshotting).

Only a couple of days left, I hope they bring back the aviators and wide rim glasses.

Would really be a great timing to appease the community and re-release the wide rim glasses wink wink Kappa ( and the SAB or at least the finisher )

It was removed from the gem store before HoT launched, and I’ve been sad ever since. I mean, here we are, in the actual jungle, and the jungle themed outfit is unavailable.

Would totally love to see it brought back, hopefully before we all pack up and move to the north, or the desert, or underwater or something.

Tons of people begged for the bunny ears for over a year before we finally got them back this month. The month isn’t even over yet; the sunglasses COULD still come back. If they don’t, there’s always the next sale.

On the final day of the sale, I get what I asked for. Thank you guys. Thank you. It was probably already on the docket, but I’m still appreciative.

Okay, since SAB is here (yay!)… these still need to be brought back according to me and everyone else:

- All those sunglasses
- Viper/Trickster/Phalanx
- Some of the outfits (someone mentioned Jungle Explorer?)

I would also like to see all that (mostly) unobtainable armor from the old system re-released somehow. (Examples: Heavy Scale, Stalwart, Marauder everything but the helm, Tribal, Apostle…) I know Anet won’t put that in the gemstore, but maybe consider adding them as fairly common drops at certain levels, like a lot of the other armor sets? Or make them easily craftable?
Oh, and there are a few armor pieces that don’t drop for some odd reason. (Studded helm/shoulders and Buccaneer hat, though the latter is obtainable via WvW.) I want to see those somehow return as well.

It was a looooooong time ago, since the Tribal armor set was available. Years ago, players can earn this armor set in PvP. Maybe it´s time to put this in TP or put it in an other way to earn it AGAIN.

If “prestige” is something veteran players are concerned about (I owned the game from the initial beta but missed several ‘prestige events’ so I won’t consider myself a veteran player in this argument) then perhaps if there is a way to tell if they had the prestige item already, they could get a special version that is unable to be purchased (think special color choice or glowy effects, etc) while others can get a basic, same as all others version? If so, I think the Gem Store and Black Lion Chests could get some additions to appease those that missed while retaining the prestige for those that were there. Handles both sides’ concerns, right? And brings in more money via Gem Store. Three birds, one (perhaps difficult from the tech side) stone.

The school outfit and swimsuit(s) make an interesting point. Those would likely bring in some decent money, though I suppose it’s tougher to apply those to the non-human skeletons of Charr and Asura. I don’t know anyone that has filled up their free character slots with solely Charr and Asura characters, but I’d guess there are a few. I don’t have a human-skeleton male with light armor (or any male with light armor, my charr and asura are medium and heavy armor) and only had a male heavy armor from the Revenant. So I suppose there may be others that don’t have a human-skeleton character for swimsuits?

I also have a couple sylvari, but so far I think they only look good in their cultural armor… a ‘swimsuit’ that’d show off the glow would be pretty sweet, though… bonus points if the swimsuit could be in the style of their cultural armor.

I came back relatively recently for HoT and just found out about the Toxic Glove skin. It seems these were on the gem store recently but were removed and now I’m sad, does anyone know if they’ll come back again I’d like a pair of those.

They cycle in every now and again. No one knows when they will be back (it’s an incentive to log in regularly that way).
