I’m so sick of having to type out the name of every other item I want to delete… Obsidean shards, Hall of Monuments Portal thing, and lots of random crap I don’t want or need at the present time that I can easily obtain again at a latter date when I actually want the stupid item…

Enough is enough, I’m tired of having the flow of the game interrupted with this nonsense…

I can understand if it’s an obtainable only once item. Cuts down on the CS calls. It’s the items you can get multiples of where it can get annoying.

No.
That would cause some serious imbalances that the game does NOT need. This is yet another l2p issue.

This is silly. You can spam it for as long as you want and build up days of buffs. Why not just make it easier on the servers and have it all calculated at once?

Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of the mode? If someone is hiding, surely they don’t want to be found?

  • shift-click the item
  • copy
  • delete
  • paste, remove the brackets
  • press enter
  • profit? (well no, just less tedious)

Another alternative: put all items on a key toon (or other throw-away character) and delete them when you reroll.

The ideal situation would be if relevant NPCs could replace items that you accidentally delete. I’m sure it would take some interesting programming logic (and interesting database changes) to make that seamless for us as players.

In the meantime, I’m okay with dealing with a few annoying items so that other people aren’t inconvenienced by not having them when needed. Small price to pay so that people can move forward with their collections.

The worst are Instant Repair Canisters. They can make black lion goods boxes feel like a bad thing.

But the vast majority of Gem Shop items are bought with gems. Gems that someone paid with real world cash. Again making it a CS issue if it was too easy to delete them. But perhaps a threshold needs to be set that gem value below it can simply be deleted, one at a time but if the item(s) in the inventory slot is above that, then require the typing to delete. Or simplify it to a captcha style 5 character code.

We are heroes. This is what we do!

  • Build templates (like the ones in Guild Wars)
  • Open the UI for real customization (again like in Guild Wars e.g. mini map size etc.)
  • Decrease/remove the timer after finished pvp matches added with this patch
  • More keybindings (e.g. map ping etc.)
  • Adjust the stack size of materials in inventory according to the storage stack size (e.g. with storage extentension to 500 your inventory stack size should be 500 as well)
  • Finally implement storage space for all crafting materials (e.g. Amalgamated Gemstones, Doubloons, Agony Infusions etc.)
  • Bags prioritizing consumables and bags prioritizing ascended gear (e.g. nourishment and blueprints will fill this bag before other empty spaces / ascended weapons, armor, accessories)
  • Add crafting options (like chosing the number of items you’d like to craft) to the mystic forge (e.g. if you want to promote material you don’t need to select it again and again after promoting one)

QOL suggestions:

{X}→ Permanent map markers (say, 5 per character, and then you can buy some more with ingame currency and another few in gem store?)

{X}→ /Resign in dungeons/fractals/story-instances
(especially story instances when you’re alone, since returning to character select or using a WP is a rather redunant way to leave an instance)

{X}→ A better way to see mapwide events, sometimes there are multiple events going, but because something else is closer, you can’t see the event you’re looking for. Sometimes the system even prioritizes events that are further away. Also an option to ‘flag to hide’ an active event, so it doesn’t clutter your screen. Sometimes an event is bugged, but it being active will prevent you from seeing other events on the same map. (I’m looking at you, shiverpeak escort quests)

{X}→ Hide Dailies, I’m not always looking to do them, and sometimes they’re just screen clutter. I can minimize them, but that bar is still gonna be there glogging up my screen.

{X}→ Reconnection. When you lose connection, save your place, there’s nothing more annoying that disconnecting and not only losing your progress, but also any hope of getting back on the map you spent an hour building up to an event on.

{X}→ Merchant > Sell all minor runes/sigils
OR
{X}→ Deposit all crafting materials INCLUDING runes and sigils, by creating a slot for them in the crafting schedule. They are after all labeled as crafting materials, taking up a slot in the crafting material bags

{X}→ Trading Post, Don’t display the cost and the tax value, instead:
Display Value and Tax return
e.g.
Glob of Ectoplasm
00 – 37 – 35 Post Value
00 – 31 – 75 Taxed value (this is what you get if you sell your item)

Since there are still requests for capes in GW2, I figured I might as well ask for the one thing I see nobody asking for but has a slightly higher probability of happening than capes. (which I see as a 0.0001% chance)

- Bindable mouse buttons for Action Camera, the forced binds make it unusable for me and I’m sure many others. Add 2 binds to the list ACmouse1 and ACmouse2, these are special binds in that when mouse 1 is pressed while in AC it fires whatever key is placed in the ACmouse1 bind slot, they can only have one key bound at a time. Place mouse1 and mouse2 respectively to retain the current functionality.

- Build templates, even just slot skills and traits would be enough.

- Key Ring, like currencies, except for keys.

- Clear ALL bind, maybe something that just hits ESC about a dozen times. One key press to clear everything open on screen and to get back to the fight quickly.

- Customizable colored overhead target marker arrows, for a brief and glorious time this was almost implemented with yellow overhead arrows on targeted enemies, then it went away. If we could choose what color the overhead arrow is, some of us might not have as much of a struggle with targeting as we currently do. Make it simple, same colors as Commander tags, I can see the purple one the best as it clashes with almost everything else on my screen. But a red arrow in a sea of red names is hard to find. Maybe allow the Called Target bullseye to be colorable as well, it is much easier to see than the smaller arrow, however.

- Allow us to trade Tomes of Knowledge for other things than Spirit Shards or make Spirit Shards more useful to those of us that have all the level 80s we are going to make until a new class/race happens. HoT Mastery Points come to mind similar to how the Proofs of Heroics work for Hero Points now, or did at inception.

Here’s a few that I think are even less likely than capes but I’ll mention them anyway:
- Allow us to sell boosters, revive orbs, repair canisters etc. back to the gem store for a greatly reduced (50% or less) amount of gems.
- Raise the per-week key limit from personal stories to 2-3 per week or introduce a merchant that will exchange 10+ BLCs for 1 BLC key, limit 1 key per week.
- Add special skills to the Build/Weapon Skills tab, below Downed Skills. Celestial Avatar, Death Shroud etc. skills that are currently only view-able for a few seconds as they are in use. Mostly just to be able to read the mouse-over description without having to screen cap or check them on wiki.
- add a “/sigh” emote.

If you are going to do build templates let them be full templates, including weapons and armor. Also, make the PvP and WvW segmentation include weapon and armor changes, so we stop popping back into PVE with the wrong stuff equipped or losing track of what weapons we had is what spot in PvP.

For Legendary items, if I am at one point playing a healer, and the switch to a damage character, I want to be able to change the rune or sigil when I change the stats without having to constantly buy new runes and sigils. I think when you apply a rune or sigil to a legendary item add it to a list that can then be selected from. You can only select runes or sigils that have been applied to the legendary piece once.

Wow, theres alot of great suggestion here I would like to see.
Here’s mine:-

  • Search bar on vendor seperated by 2 features. For default buying and for search selling. Example, if I type ‘rune/sigil’ and click ‘sell all’, it will sell those displayed item list that currently on my bag.
  • Multiple craft option on Mystic forge.
  • Keybind/Graphic/Class build template. Possible saved music sheet for in-game instrument.
  • The command /gg /resign /surrender for open-world PvE. Maybe only if the player is downed since it wont give you a broken armor on suicide.
  • My own character potrait when im in a party.
  • Countinous salvage on mouse hold of the same item/material.
  • Game option that toggle player Guild/Mastery/PvPRank/EliteSpec/HpBar.
  • Scale UI using a slider instead of a preset size.
  • Renaming our bag/bank slots for convinient purpose.
  • New simple UI to use multiple tomes of knowledge/writ of knowledge.
  • Enable to change underwater skill while not in underwater.
  • Eater (Mawdrey, Star, Etc.) can be used without having the food inside your bag slot.
  • New guild slot for every 5k AP. Number is debatable.
  • A /reconnect feature that allow disconnect player without party/squad to join attempt a previous map/ip
  • A book or a tour guide on each meta map shows new/returning player how its works
  • “Open All” on bag/bundle that gives material and map currency. Exclude the champ bag.
  • In-game stopwatch/timer and calculator.
  • Auto-deposit materials on logout/character select. Can be made a mastery and toggleable in game option.
  • Copy/Highlight/Quote in-game chat.
  • Instead of free-repair, use karma for armor/weapon repairing.
  • Glider enable/disable option or keybind toggeable. Some player like me having a spacebar axienty while doing diving goggle jumping by pressing it twice instead of once.
  • Dyeable Guild Seige with guild emblem present. If possible.
  • Same with exp bar, rewards for those with 300% MF cap if they complete another set of 4295450 MF requirement in the achivements tab.
  • Ready check in party.
  • Creating a squad that allows guildies/friendlist/friend of friends invites only.
  • Popular demand. Keyring. A new bagslot or seperate slot UI for Meta-map key (Machete, Crowbar, Shovel, etc.)
  • Improved mentor system, giving bonus exp while a mentor nearby. Makes mentor tag harder to obtain if this is implimented.
  • Gamepad support if the game engine allows it.
  • Discounted account bound gem-store gatering tools on 2nd or 3rd purchase.
  • Gem-store outfit preview on different race/gender instead the one youre playing on.
  • Brighter mouse opacity.
  • Notes – Personal notes/Pesonal guild note/Custom reminder. Also Guild Calender for event management.
  • Ranger pet – Enable to place pet anywhere beside left/right side of the ranger. Pet emotes.
  • Warrior banners – Unable to put another banner of the same effect within the same area. Exception in pvp enemy/team banner overlap.

Unneccesary but cool to have :-
This part is a joke sugesstion so dont take it seriously.

  • Map vote kick – right click a player name to start a vote kick from the map and the vote counts when a numbered player typed in /mapkick [playername]. Ofc the playername wont be broadcast to the whole map if someone started a vote kick.
  • 2 player gem-store travel kit riding. (Carpet, broom, etc.)
  • Account bound Agony resistance.
  • Pause sytem in sPvP.
  • Marrige system. Any profit or gold gain you make in game are shared with your life partner. Even your partner is not online. Help those with multi-account. Ofc the ceremony itself gonna be expansive.

I know that some of these suggestion wont be implemented due to limited game engine/development time. But you guys at ArenaNet already doing a good job doing QOL improvement from time to time. Kudos to you.

Now with gliding available in Central Tyria, there are a few places where that is extremely annoying. Also, it seems to have a state (rather than merely “press Jump again while in air to deploy”) which happens to be really hard to guess while you are not in the air.

This brings me to two little UI elements:

  • Glider state (useful while doing jumping puzzles)
  • Walk/Run state (useful for roleplay people)

I haven’t found anything like these, so maybe they could be added somehow? Is there anything else that’s stateful but generally invisible like that?

I never said you couldn’t do them. A switch keyboard that only goes from 0 to 1 does not have the control of an incremental controller and would be better suited. Some of us prefer using controllers on PC generally anyway.

Love this thread. A TON of great ideas, and definitely many that should be implemented soon.

One more feature request from me:
Like Bag slots, make Bank slots’ order re-arrangeable.
And also, make this re-arrangeable while still stuff in the individual grid slots.
Went buying a new Bank slot with Gems, the newly purchased one always goes to the bottom-last location.
To better organize your stuff in the bank, wouldn’t you like to have all the frequently moved things at the top of the Bank, while the less-moved things to the bottom of the bank?
The new & empty Bank slot added at the bottom does not work well with this organizing scheme.
Maybe adding the newly purchased Bank slot to the top of the Bank would be the better & easier solution here?
Please?

Wishlist: [work in progress]

1. Bindable mouse buttons for Action Camera – Let me choose what they do in AC.

2. Renewed use of character personalities – Original choice determines voice type of character, see 3.

3. New voices for characters – leaving the originals in tact but adding two(2) more options per character type corresponding to the personality type chosen at character creation, all current characters get a chance to choose this again.

4. A way to press one button once to clear the screen of ALL windows/menus – this has been sorely missing since launch.

5. Make class-specific special skills viewable like weapon and slot skills – e.g. Necromancer Death Shroud, land and underwater; basically any skill set that swaps out the weapon bar, including Engineer’s kits that can only be viewed/moused-over when in use.

6. BLC Keys more obtainable – increase drop rate, merchant who sells them for Spirit Shards, up the per-week limit from personal stories a little, anything.

7. Easier to see target marker arrows – options to make it flash/move more, options to change the color of the arrow and base ring, red in a sea of red is hard to see.

8. A sigh emote “/sigh” – I miss this almost as much as the clear all bind in GWs.

9. BLTC will re-purchase, for gems, any consumable it sells for gems – including all bank/merch/TP expresses, Repair Canisters, Revive Orbs, etc. anywhere between 10 and 50% of sell value would be fine.

10. Build Templates and Equipment Templates – make them separate but linkable to each other.

Here are the main QoL improvements I’d like to see get implemented, in no particular order.

• Keyring

• Wallet storage for existing currencies that don’t currently go in wallet

• Mat storage for existing mats that don’t currently have mat storage

• Build saving

• Add Account-based gathering tool slots

• Storage/wardrobe for all tonics and other toys

• All old collectible items/currencies updated so that they can be traded to a vendor or clearly marked that they are useless. Or at least better info on the Wiki would be great so people know what’s worth saving and what’s safe to delete.

• No more non-functional NPCs right next to functional NPCs like the one by the bank NPC in LA.

• Something to prevent players from dropping interactive items (like Box O Fun) next to an NPC or Loot Chest so that people can’t access them.

• Ability to reduce (not raise) TP sell price without having to unlist/relist or pay another listing fee.

• Ability to hide items in the Nearly Completed Achievments list

My suggestion would be a change to the way we all currently pickup specific items then end up complaining to anet about not having enough bags or space.

Considering the average player chooses to salvage or sell to merchant all green and blue weapons or armor and salvage rares/exotics for ectos with higher grade salvage kits an idea came to me. I know theres an option to salvage all greens and salvage all blues with the salvage kits, but let’s take it a bit further.

  • The change suggested would add unique options to all Salvage-o-matics.
  • Would only be able to “Turn on” 1 Salvage-O-Matics at a time.
  • Right Clicking the Salvage-O-Matic now has another option: Auto Salvage ALL Blue&Green equipment on pickup. This keeps the SoM turned ON so as you aquire items from fallen foes or containers, any blue or green equipment(weapons and armor only) would be autosalvaged which would give you any minor runes you’d normally acquire, by manually salvaging, and drum roll please the materials AND LUCK you’d normally acquire by*manually* salvaging as well, directly into your inventory.

By now you are wondering: “what about the silver fed SoM?” To answer this, Both SoM’s are different as if they operated as one has higher chance for rarer materials than the other…It can boost both depending on what you have so there’s no real issue with either of the SoM’s

  • New mentioned option could boost sales towards all salvage-o-matics / Salvager’s Supplies & bag slots/shared inventories.
  • Players will not have to go back and forth as much to sell greens/blues, which saves inventory space.
  • Did I mention easier access to luck?
  • Umm…more space?
  • No more fear of Bags of Masterwork Gear

Actually, something I realized tonight while playing Druid…
Being able to see friendly HP bars without having to mouse-over. Especially helpful for open-world bosses, that way I can find who needs saving before it’s too late.

Of course, a non-healer would likely just find the friendly HP bars get in the way, so that might require some thought.

This would make farming a lot more tolerable, and more enjoyable. Could you imagine opening bags, and just watch everything get salvaged instantly.. don’t even have to click nothing. Less time dealing with inventory management, the more time I can get to play. Great idea

1. Key Ring.
2. Tonic & Toy Section (also instruments).. Like Material Storage, but for your “collectables”.. Accessed through Hero Panel, not Bank.
3. Why are bags limited to 20 slots? Lets double that to 40 slots per bag! 320 Inventory slots !

I’m a really big fan of shiny,& glossy armors so Mystic Chromatic Ooze and Juggernaut are my favorites (looks so good with balthazar outfit), but the ooze requires me to reactivate it for every 5 min/after downed/by map change and Juggernaut only activates its effect when drawn out.
I wonder if there can be a slight change to this, like, Mystic Chromatic Ooze’s activation effect will be permanent for as long as you’re logged in (with a condition that player have a soulbound Colossus unlocked as a skin at least? Since other characters can use it via Shared Inventory Slot), or any possible changes revolve around giving the Ooze/Juggernaut owners more convenience to access to the effect for as long as they want without any hassles. Or maybe having Mystic Chromatic Ooze togglable.
I have been thinking about making a reddit post about this little change but I’m afraid it sounds stupid, but I’m taking a risk. I really hope this suggestion is a good idea for any current Juggernaut users at the moment. Since it’s only cosmetic and wouldn’t affect any to balance anyway.

4. A way to press one button once to clear the screen of ALL windows/menus – this has been sorely missing since launch.

This seems to exist already. The default key is [Ctrl+Shift+H], which I have modified to the [.] key because it’s far enough from the hot parts of my keyboard. One key and one key only

My beef with it is that the character in front of you gets an outline that cannot be turned off even with the no UI setting.

4. A way to press one button once to clear the screen of ALL windows/menus – this has been sorely missing since launch.

This seems to exist already. Not sure what the default is because I have a heavily modified key set, but there’s a Toggle UI option that does this.

My beef with it is that the character in front of you gets an outline that cannot be turned off even with the no UI setting.

That was my initial response but I think the request wasn’t to vanish them, but to close them. Ie still have your UI showing, just no vendor windows. I could see the usefulness of that, though generally speaking if I have a lot of windows open it’s because I’m standing still at a crafting station and I am not about to get attacked and need to see what I’m fighting.

My QoL request, as I seem not to have made it in this thread or not have gotten merged in, at least there’s no white arrow showing I’ve responded here, bolded to distinguish it from the above text:

Please turn on the Lost Precipice updrafts permanently.

Here’s another one that bothers me a lot:

  • Gathering loot does not behave the same as chest loot, and it really should.

If you interact with a chest, given certain settings you get a window with Unclaimed Loot in it. You then can press interact again to take it all. This is not possible with gathering nodes, you have to go there and click them one by one (this is doubly annoying with the buggy Unbound Magic items in bloodstone crystal gathering nodes which make the list not scroll properly).

When using HQ teleport items (eg. Captain’s Airship pass, Noble’s Folly pass, etc), can we please have the option to go back to the map where we initially used the item? Is it too much to ask, is it game breaking? Maybe you can atleast put us at a safe waypoint in the map.

Please add this option to add more value to the item so people will get enticed to buy these HQ teleport items.

BTW, nice touch on the airship HQ, you can jump off from the airship and safely land on map below.
