You can use an invisible bag, that will prevent any items placed in it from showing up when talking to a vendor.

As for a ‘sell all’ button, it might be nice to have, but I reckon it will cause more trouble than it’s worth, with less careful players losing valuable items by mistake.

I second the invisible bag. They’re awesome at keeping things you want to remain safe away from the prying eyes of the vendors.

Buy the invis bag, put it in your bottom bag slot so it’s out of the way, then place your weapons, armours etc that are essential to you in it.

All the bag are very useful. I would recomend a few Equipment boxes so all your salvage crap gets neatly piled, a trash bag so your vendor trash gets neatly piled, and a material bag for gathering etc. The rest can be normal. My 2c.

Invisible bags are useful but when you switch out two one handed weapons for a two handed weapon one will go in the two handed weapon slot and the other will go into the first open inventory slot, which means it’s possible to sell it. I sold an ascended weapon to a vendor once when my game lagged during selling. I got it back because I reviewed my sales to merchant but a don’t sell mark on it would have stopped that.

You just need to leave a space in your inventory after the two-handed weapon – if you swap a two-handed weapon for a main and off hand, the main hand will go into the space vacated by the two-handed weapon, and the off hand weapon will go into the space to its right, if empty.

That helps. It requires you to have weapons in a correct and careful order that not everyone will know about (I didn’t) but it’s better than nothing.

Except, any loot you get automatically fills up the first available space. So this only works if you don’t get any loot. If you’ve been running around for a while and want to switch a two-handed weapon to 2 one-handed weapons, it’s highly likely that space you trying to keep free is already filled up with something that dropped for you in the meantime. So your suggestion doesn’t work very well in practice.

This is why I keep my invisible bag at the bottom – the spare spots for swapping to two-handed weapons only get filledwith junk when I’m completely out of space.

But then the off-hand weapon gets punted to the first available space.

Frankly, I think the developers need to make it so that Invisible Bags are always last to fill with junk, and immune to inventory compacting. – They’re the bags you put your important stuff in, and it’s, from a player-convenience perspective, best to have that at the top of the screen so it’s readily available as soon as you open your inventory.

This.

They could do it as a crafting/MF recipe, too. Invisible + Oiled (reverse precedence) + Equipment-rarity-priority. Exotic rarity bags would assume exotic-ascended gear as prioritized.

I use weapon Boxes for my extra weps. All of my chars carry around with them every weapon that they can use. They are kept in strong boxes at the top of my inventory but I keep them compacted as I very rarely switch weps.

So no ty for the “immune to compact” suggestion. I do use toilet paper or some other junk as space fillers in those boxes and if I do switch out say 2 weps for a 2 handed one I simply just move one of those place holder toilet papers before doing so. Granted it can be a headache at times, mainly for Ele’s/Engi’s tho…

Since when did this business of being a hero become being a business?

Weapon boxes are irritating because they pick up every piece of junk you collect. The idea of making Invisible Bags invisible to Loot and Compact is that you can keep your items you want where you put them (And have Compacting be available to condense salvage junk and bag-opening residue).

They don’t if you set your bags up right – as I said above, if you have a space to the right of the two-handed weapon, the off-hand weapon goes there, even if it’s not the first available space.
