Bots are killing themselves, and then being revived by other bots, to farm exp.
How is this even possible? How can a player kill himself voluntarily?

This is really really discouraging and stupid. I saw a pack of bots in Divinity’s reach, where one bot kept dying and the others revived it, and then it rotated so that all bots gained levels.

That seems like a very slow and stupid way to gain levels, when there’s so many bots events just sorta do themselves now.

Its very hard to capture what i’m talking about in a screenshot, but here is one: http://i.imgur.com/iWPu8.jpg

One bot kept dying, and was rezzed by the other bots.

I suppose that they could be using a script to walk/jump off a high ledge and fall to their death to get revived, then the script pauses for the next to do so and they do the reviving before their script walks them back to said ledge and repeat.

Never thought of that being viable before – and got better things to do with my time than bother with it. But I do go out of town to visit my folks for weekends at a time and can see how people in similar situations could abuse such a concept to get XP whilst being a hundred miles away from their PC.

Maybe they’re trying to get the Combat Healer achievement? Haha I dunno, seems like an inefficient way to level.

I’m not saying I don’t believe it, I’m just saying it’s inefficient.

$^&$&*, what i don’t get is why ANet implements DR, but doesnt kittening detect someone pressing F once per second while not moving….thats how this bot works right now. One bot dies, the others just spam F to revive. 34exp per review.

Well they could also be in a party before implementing the script… ‘talking’ to each other via party chat thus increasing the number of keystrokes to a pattern that is over the limit of any detection Anet has implemented at the time.

You really should stop getting me to discuss this though. I rather enjoy finding loopholes and don’t want to proceed with giving ideas to others. Just get all your friends and whatever people on your server who will listen to go report them and you’ve done your part…
