- Town clothes turned into outfits (Ruined)
Wanted to mix and match? Forget it!

- Town clothing dyes broken down to nothing (Ruined)
4 dyes? Come on Anet.

- Power builds ruined
A vast amount of power build have died due to relying on crit damage.

- All hail the condition damage glorious master race.
Now all we see is warriors with dual swords+ longbow, no thieves, necromancers, condi bunker mesmers, a handful of guardians, and condition damage bunker rangers (Power rangers are even further down the lines of being walking lootbags due to having far worse crit damage)

- But don’t worry, free dyes and reusable skins.

Come on Anet, I believed you would make a huge update and I even told my friends this would be an amazing mega update. All they did was laugh when they saw that the game was brought down pretty much on its knees.

Solutions
Simply recode the old town clothing as secondary armor pieces right off the bat, that would simply allow you to recolour them and wear them normally, turning them into outfits was an atrocious idea.

Will update this part soon…

haven’t played enough to really give it a yay or nay yet. I don’t think anyone has. For me it will depend on a few things. If transmutation stones can’t be farmed from map completion anymore and we’re forced to use gems, that will be really annoying and I will consider the wardrobe system a downgrade. If we can still farm them, then the wardrobes are awesome, but regardless they need to fix the dyes so that they don’t give you the “cost zero transmutation charges” popup. If it costs nothing, don’t give a pop up, its annoying and just confuses people, including me at first.

As for the new traits and larger servers, I have some speculations on how they might effect the game for better or worse but its to early to actually say. I don’t think anyone has done much content since the patch.

The new boss schedule bugs me a lot. Also worried about the ever-present zergs after the full megaserver release. Other than that, meh. Not a revolution.

Leaning towards nay. Certainly doesn’t revolutionize… darn you Asmodeus.

It’s decent for a small update.
After logging in for 30 minutes I felt like I’ve already seen everything and logged out.

I totally agree, I completed some of my alts map completions to check the amount they give you before patch, and I’ll do one now and see how many, if any at all. I really hope they still give you them.

So… nobody has anything constructive to say about it?
It’s fine to complain when you give a valid reason for it.
Otherwise it seems more like a wasted effort, to me.

Yay. Acct bound WXP and legendary/ascended items alone make it good for me.

I like the shared dyes and skins. Still haven’t tested to see if you can get Trans Stones from map drops, but that aside its cool.

Having more people in chat is nice, and I’m looking forward to running some trains on less used maps now that people are going to actually be there. Only downside I see to megaservers is that world events will probably be game freezing 100% of the time now for those of us with slower computers. It’d be nice to have an option to go back to the low density server, but we’ll see how it goes.

Yay List:
1. Salvaging: You get the look of an item when you salvage it, so that’s pretty neat.

2. Spvp Reward Track: I really like these reward tracks and gives incentive to play through multiple tracks and pvp more often if the other changes don’t bother you

3. Guild Events: Something else I haven’t tried out but anything that increases guild involvement in things is a plus for me.

4. Account bound WvW: Makes it more alt friendly which is something this game sorely needs.

Nay List:
1. Transmutation charges: As someone who plays pve and spvp (for fun) this is major bummer in a change. The pve side of it is pretty nice, but spvp side of it is extremely annoying if you play more than one character. Especially if you like to change your look randomly.

2. Frostgorge (and i assume queensdale) Champ Farm Nerf: Wow, just wow. This is one that caught me completely off guard and really annoyed me. I like to champ farm randomly to earn some random gold and now the first three champs are tied to a group event timer (15 min) and you get the same rewards and 88c if you beat the timer >_>.

3. World bosses: I have only fought jormag so far with this change so my opinion may change, but fighting him with a smaller group (One where it got cleared normally before with this size) made it completely impossible and the frost shield seems to have tons of hp. Jormag has a ton of health now, even more fearing is annoying and 44c for loosing lol (I imagine 1s or less if you win). Also seems all the other world bosses got some sort of buff with reduced rewards as well (Haven’t tried it so can’t confirm).

4. Spvp Traits: Having the new traits tied to 3 gold and 20 skill points (15g and 100sp for each character) is a terrible idea for spvp. Spvp has always been about having everything unlocked at the start and was about you playing the game well no matter the build you choose. Even if the new stuff is completely useless it’s still annoying.

5. Spvp Runes and Sigils: 3g for each rune and 5g for each new sigil. Minor gripes since they are infinite use, but yet another gold sink in spvp.

6. Ferocity changes: Weaker best build is still the best build lol.

7. Repair costs removed: I put this under a nay because the idea of repairing being removed meant nerf anything that had a chance to make gold in the game (Or trying to mask nerfs with the “repair costs” scapegoat).

8. SPVP Reward Tracks: Just wanted to make a mention that its character based and not account bound, which if you want to character hop around on Spvp you get punished.

9. Spvp TDM: Only added to custom arenas according to the patch notes, that means no rank progression in hotjoining into it and not appearing in any arenas.

Overall I feel like this patch is a massive nay and goes completely against the idea of “going out into the world more”. Seems this game keeps heading in the wrong direction.

Edit: When I wrote my reply it was about yay or nays about the patch xD.

Im having loads of fun with this patch. they can change the town clothes stuff but power builds needed to be nerfed, they give more diversity to builds in PVE for once, and no one really uses zerk for wvw anyway because that would make you a rally bot.
Wardrobe
New traits
Crit nerf
Town clothes in combat
Megaservers
Guilds can activate world bosses
Sigils/Runes
Account Bound Wxp

These are all great things, its def one of the best patches theyve had in a long time. People just getting all teary for no real reason except town clothes being one whole item.

That was always my analysis of it too, I’m really unhappy with this patch. Very little to like in it for me.
