Now what I want to know next is will this be all of SAB forevermore or are the two remaining worlds still on the table for the later iterations of this new festival coming up in the following years.

It’s great to get it, but it’s sad to think we’ll never see World 3 or 4 nor save the princess.

I don’t think I’d go that far – unless we get Word From Above saying that it will never happen.

I understand their reasoning for focusing on the game as a whole at this time, with a still-fresh expansion. But I think that, in time, they will have the opportunity to progress the Box. At the very least, we don’t have to wait that long simply for it to re-open, and the announcement implies it will do so annually from now on.

…. Still…. it would be really nice to hear a dev say that they will – in due time! – add the rest of the game-within-a-game. I can be patient, but I really would like to know (not just hope) that back-burnering it doesn’t mean throwing it away, and I’m sure others do as well.

I basically agree with everything you said there, definitely would be nice to get some clarification. I don’t want to sound ungrateful, as I am I having a blast… however, when I think of a a reality where we get this festival little more than copied for the next X years I already know, no matter how much I enjoy SAB I’ll run out of meaningful things to go after sooner or later. Right now, while the new rewards are nice I am mostly having a blast because I have things still to do from Back to School.

What’s with those 2 rocks in Tribulation mode on the right side of the chasm?
(World 1 Zone 1 between Checkpoint 3 to Checkpoint 4)
50 life’s and I still cat get past them, it’s impossible.
They both go off at the same time BEFORE I get to them.
NOT as you pass them.
Is it lag on my side or what?

In my opinion that section is the hardest in the entire game. You just need to be perfect. You need to jump from the ledge up to the top, past the first block near the second block. From there I’m not sure if you need to dodge or just immediately try to jump to the leaves. I just know that even when I know exactly how to do it I still fail more often than I succeed.

Unless it’s a different two rocks, most of the rocks are on the right side afterall.

First time on SAB and love the work they put in to it, the decorations in Rata Sum are cool too.

I’d like it if they redesigned the tribulation shield skins. The original blue one is a two colour item, with a blue border, box and sword, and a yellow backing. All the tribulation skins turn it monochrome. How about making the yellow one the blue skin inverted? (pale blue back, yellow box, sword and border), and the green one Green sword, box and border with a cyan background. The orange one could be orange border box and sword with a red or yellow background. I think they’d look MUCH nicer with a two colour design that they do now.

They should let us play SAB for free on April and sell SAB Box for $50 for those who wanna play it permanently whenever they want. Like every April is a free SAB Trail. People who love it like me will BUY SAB Box to play it after April.

You are one generous fellow, SAB is good and I would personally happily pay if it meant guaranteed continued development on SAB that is more than new skins and a few guild decorations (not that I would want them to jeopardize the core game for it).

But 50$, that would be simply too much…. besides it is never going to happen, it is way more cost effective for ArenaNet to keep it as an yearly festival with minimal work put into it. That will probably carry them forward at least a year or two.

IM NOT LOGGING OUT UNTIL I HAVE ALL THE THINGS.

;_;

PS: My full size charr is my SAB Tribulation mode character. RIP.

I’m running a full size Norn. However, all characters are scaled to the Asura height in SAB, so you’re on equal footing there.

What if…. a level 400 scribe could combine 1000 clouds, plus a bunch of other mats, to create an arcade box in the guild hall, 1 for world 1, another for world 2?? Allowing people to play SAB forever?

And yes, itd be pricy, but I imagine people would be more than willing to make SAB focused guilds to do it, if they don’t want to do it in their current guilds, and people could join these just for SAB

Thank you ArenaNet for bringing back the Super Adventure box. I bought the expansion, (the most expensive version) and all the SAB items in the gem store to show my appreciation. The move to bring back the box brought me back to the game. I hope the new release did well enough to merit some work on it for future SAB festivals. Thank you!
