Super Excited About Lost Shores But Skeptical
The orbs only gave bonuses to players on WvWvW maps. They had no effect on PvE players.
But I have to agree with you on the DE’s. This is getting ridicilous and it’s seriously hurting not only the population but the economy as well. Everyone just slaps on their best MF gear and grinds away for rare loot which sets down their prices yet we have some low level mats that cost way too much.
The “Plinx dilemma” is people’s own kitten fault imo. There is stuff to do right out there for anyone that wants to. It’s their choice to keep running that DE because they’re not interested in playing they’re just interested in making money/karma as fast as possible.
What do you want Anet to do? Remove the entire DE? Increase the DR again? That’ll just bring more complaints. Let me guess. You’re asking for new farming grounds? Which won’t solve anything because everyone will just migrate over there and we’ll have the same situation again.
how bout playing the kitten game to have fun and stop whining about the loot…seriously its just old now
@Archer
What I am suggesting is making all DE’s desirable/equal. There are so many beautiful landscapes & areas in this game that go ignored simply because the rewards are better in Orr. Let me give a example:
You go to Queensdale & complete a dynamic event. I think it normally gives 223 karma? With “DE Hunting” the first completion for the day of that particular event would award 100% more so 446 karma. (100% is just a example, could be adjusted). In addition one would receive additional exp/silver.
@Sevens
Many of the points I outlined have nothing to do with loot? The exceptions being precursors & rewards for DE’s. If you have constructive feedback yourself please feel free to share it.
What is wrong with the precursors? Legendaries are purely cosmetic. They are not required in any way for progression or to access content. IMO the drop rates and prices are fine as they are, there needs to be something in the game that’s actually difficult to get.

And? My point still stands, they are purely cosmetic. They offer no gameplay benefit whatsoever and in my opinion should remain rare.

You have no qualms with a design concept where 1 person could potentially put 100,000 weapons into the forge & never see a precursor while another could place 4 in and receive one?
Tell me, what is legendary about this experience?
There is an alternative, don’t put anything into the mystic forge and lose out on… ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Seriously, if you think the odds are unfair just don’t do it. Don’t come on the forums and complain about it because you feel you are entitled to them or something.
New dungeuns and map is fine but… What i really want to see is new WvWvW maps that encourage more open field battles, more weapon choices (such as dual swords for thieves) and new skill traits. New better armors (especially for medium).

I’ve kept a cool demeanor throughout this entire thread. Have you? Nothing I have said has been intended as a “complaint” but rather constructive feedback. If you have nothing further to contribute other than baseless/senseless attacks I suggest visiting one of the other hundreds of threads present on this forum.
Since we want to clean up the forum a bit, please use this thread for all questions, discussions etc. regarding Lost Shore:
